Wow, thank you Ripoff Report for saving me money. I have my motor home for sale on multiple website and received a call from the famous Matt Carter; I was unavailable so he left a voice mail. Asking me to please give him a call back because he could sell my RV in 90 days.
I did call him back, but he has not available and Sharon could help me. So she began to tell me what all they could do to get my RV sold. They had 12 people looking for an RV just like mine, and for $99 they would give them my information so they can contact me.
I wanted to know more about their services so I asked if I could go to their web site to learn more. She directed me to the Longwood web site, and began letting me know they are a non-profit company helping the disabled. I thought how nice, I am considering signing up for their service. I went on to the Auto Marketing link on the web page and everything looked up-in-up. She let me know they are ranked high with customer satisfaction and if I sign up today the fee will be $99 and if I wait the fee will be $249.
My question to her was, What if you do not sale my RV in 90 days? I could remain enrolled at no additional cost. Sounds good to me. But I told her I would need to think about it. She called me back in a few days and advised I could still sign up for the $99 if I wanted to. That price would be good for another day. I told her I wanted to check out their web site a little more and would let her know.
Today I was ready to sign up but then took a second look at their How It Works paragraph on the website. To get a refund if they do not sell it in 90 days requires me going to a notary and signing their request form on the back of the receipt and mailing it back to them within 10 business days.
Oh, not all would be refunded; they will keep $29 for their service fee. Also, what do they mean If your vehicle has not sold in 90 days, you may remain enrolled at no additional cost (until it sells),
does this mean I will owe them more if it does?
Glad I checked out Ripoff and my story sound like the others who have been contacted by Matt Carter.
I will not be signing up for their services.
