I used to work for Maximus at the Rancho Cordova CA call center for 3 1/2 years and witnessed first hand how Maximus cheated the state millions of dollars per year thru their contract with the state of California's Health care (HCO) program and are continuing to do so - preaching the words "Helping government serve the people" slogan that might as well of been helping government f*** the people.
That is because Maximus could care less about the people and more about the numbers Maximus needs to meet and to keep the contract with the state and to keep collecting the millions of tax payers dollars that Maximus receives. Maximus HCO is the largest state program in the Country.
Thousands of people calling depends on Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) for information regarding the states MEDI-CAL program. All calls must not take more than 2 minutes. If more than 2 minutes, the slave driving management would warn you, write you up or even terminate you just for doing the job youre supposed to do and that is to help the less fortunate.
Maximus could care less about the elderly person that did not know what to do; or the person who only speak Spanish and might need a little more time to grasp the programs purpose; or the single parent who needed help finding a doctor for their children, or the disabled person needing to find out which part of the program he or she was eligible for. All Maximus wants is to continue to lie to the State about how good of job theyre doing while treating the callers like s**t, not to mention how much they pay their employees which is about $5 less of what the State thinks.
Also, all management personnel at the Maximus HCO location are racist and biased. They targeted all employees that did not meet management approval and conspired to get rid of that employee regardless of the reason.
Maximus and its management crew could care less about family emergencies. Maximus started a new bogus attendance policy that was not fair to all employees. This has been going on at the HCO CALL CENTER for years, even before I started working, and it appears like long after MAXIMUS has been breaking the law and they continue to break the law.
They discriminated against me because I am a single Hispanic parent raising a teenage son. They also discriminated against me simply because I spoke up to corrupt management.
They retaliated against me regarding my rights at the work place. They thought that by terminating me, they would be rid of me. But guess what; they were wrong. Sure, I'm no longer an employee of Maximus, but I am here letting the world know what Maximus is all about; breaking the law;racism;discrimination;cheating millions of dollars from the State;
