We had the unfortunate experience of dealing with these criminals and con-artists. The company I contacted was Courtesy Van Lines. Upon researching I discovered that this company is just one of many company names used by an organized syndicate of Israeli con-artists.

Just like so many of the reports I've read the movers showed up 4 hours late, did a very poor job moving and then before unloading our furniture and belongings tried to extort us for $ 3,400 for a move that was supposed to cost about $800. We literally moved about 150 yards from one apartment to another and yet they tried to charge us several hundred dollars for fuel! The packaging materials were grossly overpriced and misrepresented as well.

They have a total scam going whereby they show up late, wear the customer down, and then hold the customer's belongings ransom until they feel helpless and desperate. Their business licenses and certifications are all revoked or suspended pending reviews and they were extremely rude on the phone when I tried to get some answers.

These sheisters are not just overcharging a little bit, they are outright criminals who are totally taking advantage of people. When  you think about it, it is a perfect scam: They have all your belongings, you are tired, have no where else to go, and need to unload your stuff or else they start charging hundreds per day for storage or threaten to auction your stuff off. So a lot of peope just pay their criminal prices to be done with it.

Stay far, far away from these Israeli criminal moving and storage thugs. They are really bad guys. I literally had never heard of Israeli moving scams before yesterday. Now I have learned that it is a huge, pervasive problem with thousands of victims who have been really badly ripped off. In some states these Israeli moving company thugs have been sentenced to years in prison (Florida, Washington, Illinois, New Jersey).

Get written estimates, and deal with reputable companies only. Don't get movers from the internet either. Chances are they are affiliated with an Israeli criminal syndicate that does these scams as well as locksmith scams, boiler room cash advance scams, etc... really bad stuff!
