MCI WORLDCOM WIRELESS ripoff/Never sent merchandise but cashed the check. consumer fraud Garden City, New York

I received an email for a cellular phone offer. The ad stated that the phone was free in most cases, but in some cases, a deposit would be required.

So I called and they told me that a deposit would be required for me and they would send more info in the mail. Days later, I received a letter from MCI stating that due to my credit, a deposit of $125 by money order had to be sent before I could receive the phone.

I sent the money order; a month passed, and still no phone. I have called them and they always refer me to someone else, claiming that they can't find my records.

I was told the last time that the supervisor was supposed to trace the money order to see if it was actually received and he would call me back. I have not heard from a supervisor.

The money order was cashed because I did a trace myself. This was very fraudulent activity and MCI should not get away with this. I want my money back!
