The story started when I received a pre approved offer that was giving 120 minutes of wireless service during peak and 1000 off-peak, plus 200 anytime additional minutes every month, free phone.
I thought it was good deal, however now I know I was wrong big time. First problem is I was never able to know when did the period start and end and based on what they will count the minutes. No way to find that out since they wait for a bill from AT&T (their wireless service provider) I guess.Unlike sprint where you can do online billing and all.
In any case, First bill was $79.42 even though I was not happy, I recognized it was my fault and called customer service and talked to someone and made a charge for $79.42 on my visa card. This was done on NOV 5th, 2001.
I made several payments for every month after that on same Visa card. After looking through the bills I noticed that the first payment was never credited to my account even though MCI Wireless took it from the bank.
Called customer service and they asked me to fax them proof. I faxed all the facts including a letter from the bank saying that amount was ended charged by MCI. Every month this 79.42 keeps rolling from one month to another and I pay the amount minus that payment. I keep calling every month and keep getting the run around from one department to another.
Customer service send me to Accounts services, Account services to Payment Inquiry unit and so on and so on. The only department I could not get hold of is A QUALITY ASSURANCE UNIT; I guess it does not exist.
All my calls so far have failed to get this payment recognized by any mean. Every time I call I get the same response, fax us proof of the payment, even today. When I call these guys and ask for a supervisor, they litterly refuse to give me one, even though I'm sure it will not change anything.
Right now they have disconnected my cell phone and I intend to keep it disconnected until the payment is recognized. I can't wait until the contract is over and they will be dropped the same day.
There is no power on earth, which will make me deal with MCI WORLDCOM for any of my services. I will never ever recommend them to anyone. I will always tell everyone how bad of a service he or she has. I will always encourage everyone I talk to, to stay away from this company as far as possible. And the mission of me getting my payment posted to the account continues.
