Merchants' Credit Guide ripoff, dishonest fraudulent billing, I've never had any business dealing with HFN-Southwestern Bell MOB. Chicago Illinois

I received a letter from Merchants' Credit Guide Co. on Thursday, July 28, 2005 indicating that I owed $404.50 to LVNV Funding LLC.

The original creditor was named as HFN-Southwestern Bell, which company I have never had any business dealings.

When I called Merchants' Credit, I was told that this bill was for my cellular phone account and they advised me of the cell number being 410-370-2767, which is not my cell number.

I have been doing business with Cingular for the last five or six years.

My Cingular bill has been automatically debited every month from my checking account for the last 2 or 3 years.

There is no Southwestern Bell service in my area that I'm aware of.
