Tiredly I enter the door after putting in a good 9 hours of legitimate business at the office and find my mail sitting where it is generally put by my husband, on the edge of the couch (why he puts it there I don't know, but I'm used to it, and I find it endearing really).

Hmm... What's this? A letter from Merchants' Credit Guide Co., addressed to my old name that I gave up many years ago? rip, rip...open. What the...!! I don't recall ever having an account with these people... I owe $615.19? Interesting! Oh but look at the convenient payment methods that Ken Hughes has offered me, I can pay half and have it completely taken care of! Boy, this Ken guy is really generous, he must really have my financial situation in his thoughts or maybe he is a long lost friend of my family and is personally wiping out some dept I must have forgotten about! You bet! Kind of gave me the warm and fuzzies, NOT! More like the hot and prickleys.

I don't know about anyone else, and all joking aside for the moment, but as soon as I started to read this I knew that this was not a legitimate letter. I angrily hand the letter to my husband who has the same reaction as me, anger. So the search begins on the internet.

I type in Merchants Credit Guide Co into my browser, click Well look here! Ripoffreport pops up on the top of the search list. Amazing! And a plethora of other sites demanding something be done about this deceptive company and the brave souls who are actually combating this criminal organization with lawsuits Kudos to our friends who are fighting back!

What really makes me mad is the reality that not everyone has experience on the internet and they are not computer savvy, not everyone has the understanding that just because some company claims to be a legitimate collection agency and states that you owe x amount of dollars does it make it legal. People are getting scammed, threatened and bullied into sending in their money to this scum bag gestopo and they dont even owe a dime! GRRRRR!

Anyone who reads this report and can direct me in what I can do to expose these illicit fools with legal measures and to aide the people who dont have the ability or the inclination to fight back please do. Count me in on the crusades against Merchants Credit Guide Co.

What makes me even madder is the fact (from what I have read) is that our government knows about this, they have been informed and to date have done nothing that I can see to put a stop to it!

Oh... And just another word directed to "Merchants' Credit Guide Co." If you really have been in business since 1896, which I doubt, how sad your forefathers must be in your current business renderings... How sad they must be looking down and seeing you snakes take a good business name and turn it into dung...You do know what dung is, right? Of course you do! You see it in the mirror everyday. "Shame is brought on those who deserve it, and thus your name is spoke"
