A small start up company in Nebraska retained a Hollywood publicists, The Michael Russell Group based on information found on the Internet and also given to them personally, by Michael Russell and Steve Locascio.

From February 15, 2010 through August 15, 2010 the Nebraska company paid them over $100,000.00 to perform specific work that Michael Russell offered to do in a written agreement.  In addition, several verbal comittments were made by MRG which also ended up not coming to fruition.

The Nebraska company tried to work with MRG offering to forgive MRG's lack of performance in exchange for MRG getting "JUST ONE" of the many deals that they had represented as being real, brought to fruition.  But, even that failed and MRG has since refused to refund any of the $100,000.00 that they were paid.

The worse part of this report is that the Nebraska company was trying to launch a well developed child's education and entertainment project. They have some 12 years behind it and several million dollars.

The proceeds from the sales of their projects were to be used to fund programs to help abuse children and family members.

My associates in Nebraska have stated that they are dissapointed that any company or individual would take advantage of people that were trying to help children in need.

I am told that litigation is underway againts MRG and that MRG is now using its writing expertise and contacts to twist the story around to point to the Nebraska company.

The truth is in the products, in the written agreements in the hands of the Nebraska company lawyers.

I am not sure what "Rip Off Reports" can do.  But, maybe people need to be aware of this Hollywood company that represent itself as a great company.  It seems that MRG was only about taking the money.

The victim in Nebraska was trying to help abused children.  But, the heart of the matter didn't seem to matter to MRG.

More Lies and Fraudulent Accusations From Same Individuals

AUTHOR: Michael Russell - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, November 19, 2015

This smear campaign was executed by Nebraskan Paul Otis (aka Jay Ottis) who originally hired us to represent his line of original characters, The Magic Planets and The Earth Rangers, with a booth at the annual licensing convention in Las Vegas June 8-10, 2010.  Also that year -- after 16 terrific years overseeing the public relations for the Golden Globes -- we were suddenly and unfairly terminated without reason and past due fees were not paid.  We were forced to sue the HFPA and the dispute was settled amicably without going to court.

We did a great campaign for Otis and received dozens of complimentary emails from him.  During the convention, we learned that Otis had made numerous misstatements about his characters and did not own the rights to the Earth Ranger characters, which created a major problem.

When the multimillion dollar deals that Otis envisioned failed to materialize, he angrily demanded that all our fees and expenses be immediately repaid to him.  We declined his demands leading Otis and some of his associates to launch a vicious smear campaign with outrageous and completely false allegations on the internet.

The Michael Russell Group is proud of its 18-year history and outstanding reputation as one of California's most creative and accomplished public relations agencies.  Unfortunately, no one is safe from unethical attacks made by unsavory individuals on the internet.

Decide for yourself.  Please read numerous complaints regarding Otis at complaintsborad.com and the Jay Ottis Fraud Alert System at jayottis.com.

Proof That These Allegations Are Completely False

We were hired by Nebraskan Paul Otis (aka Jay Ottis) to represent his line of characters, The Magic Planets and The Earth Rangers, with a booth at the annual licensing convention in Las Vegas June 8-10, 2010.  We did a terrific job and received dozens of complimentary emails from the client during our campaign.

We declined his demands leading Otis and his associates to unfairly defame us with several outrageous and completely false complaints on the internet.  The Michael Russell Group is proud of its 18-year history and outstanding reputation as one of California's most creative and accomplished public relations boutique agencies.  Unfortunately, no one is safe from unethical allegations made by unsavory individuals on the internet.

Michael Russell Group are complete fraudsters

AUTHOR: John Nall - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, September 26, 2010

See the following site or Google "Stars for a Cause" since the system here removes direct links.

starsforacausefraudcase.blogspot.com

This site has posted legal documents filed against The Michael Russell Group, Stephen LoCascio, and Michael Russell. There is no arguing it. The fraud pattern is the same, many false promises and zero results.

It is an outrage that a small firm lost $100K to them, but it is not the first time.

Michael Russell Group are complete fraudsters

AUTHOR: John Nall - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, September 26, 2010

The report from this small company in Nebraska is the same as numerous other companies who have encountered the Michael Russell Group. It's their standard MO to provide nothing and then blame the client.

See the following link - (((Redacted)))
Numerous fraud lawsuits have been filed against Michael Russell and Stephen LoCascio. They have abused their position as publicists for the annual Golden Globe Awards and have defrauded many.

Frankly, its surprising that it has taken this long for Michael Russell and Stephen LoCascio to be exposed. They are truly bad guys.

The Nebraska company is the one to believe.

Fraud comitted by Nebraska company

AUTHOR: MRG - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, September 17, 2010

The Nebraska company hired MRG to seek investors/licencees for products that they misrepresented to MRG that they owned.  The facts surfaced that they did not own these rights, and in fact the products that they were attempting to sell infringed on the rights owned and secured by another company.  The Nebraska company also misrepresented its access to govewnment and NASA grant money.
