 After I told Mike Wilson I was pregnant, he was not able to be found.  After 5 years of no one helping me (child support agencies made me pay for the location service) I found him online via Facebook.  

 I told them, him and his wife that I wasn't necessarily looking for money.  I wanted him to have a relationship with his father.  I didn't have that with my biological father.  We met and my son was very hesitant.  He did not want to go and visit his father in Charleston, but I told him he had to.  He's a mama's boy so he just didn't want to leave his mama.  The first visit away was ok.  I said he had to be home Sunday by 6pm.  Well they were late bringing him home.  The second time they were supposed to pick him up from school at 4.  They didn't show up until 6 about the time daycare was closing.  He was very disappointed.  He wanted to "show off" his dad.  He had been telling the kids his father was killed in a car accident.....vivid imagination.  For that same visit I met them 1/2 way and they were an hour late bringing him back.  He also had a look on his face and told me he never wanted to go back.  He never told me why.  He just said 'you will get mad.'  The third visit, they had some excuse as to why they couldn't bring him home.  Ok, I went to get him.  Whatever.

We had an agreement that they would keep my son during spring break.  They were excited.  In the meantime I had asked for some money.  Nothing much, $200 to help with a trip to Florida to visit my brother.  His wife didn't have a problem with it, but it never came.  Well, that Friday before spring break they were supposed to pick him up.  I never heard from anyone.  I finally sent text messages and made calls.  I got a text message from his wife later that afternoon telling me that Mike had been arrested for Sexual Battery 1st and 3rd degree.  I was mortified.  I called the jail and she was right he was there.  He was released several months after that on bail.  While he was in jail I decided it was time to file for support.  I may have had my son alone, but he needed to help too.  My church family and my friends were helping take care of my son and he wasn't their responsibility.

I gave him every opportunity to explain his actions and it never came.  I reluctantly gave him one more chance to see my son.  It was his birthday weekend.  I let Mike's mother and 2 brothers take him to Charleston for a weekend.  All weekend I called asking when they were bringing him home.  I always got a vague answer,  "I'm not sure."  Well come Sunday, no one answered a phone.  Finally his mother answered about 12 and told me they were having a bday party for my son (on the day he was supposed to come home) I said ok.  I sent text messages to Mike that I was calling the police if he didn't answer or tell me what was going on.  His mother did not know that.  About 3 that day I called again.  When's he coming home.   No one answered.  I was histerical.   I called the police department.  The officer finally called me back and himself just as upset.  He advised he was putting my son on a bus home.  I told that officer that I was on my way.  I had to have the officers meet me there to get my son.  I was afraid of the conflict.  The one officer knew his wife and couldn't understand since she seemed to be smarter than that.

 I refuse to allow my son to be exposed to their disfunction.  He has been ordered to pay $292 a month. I only got that because I wrote letters to Senators and even the President, but Senator Lyndsey Graham is the only one who actually helped me.  

Mike has blamed me for everything.  I'm a money hungry wh*re.  He has a new baby girl.  Mind you he has 4 children total and only 2 of them have the same mom.  If he couldn't afford children why did he have more?  His wife planned their daughter and she's just as guilty for non payment.  He refuses to pay because I won't let him see my son.  He's a bully.  He has threatened me too.  I don't let it get to me.  My son knows who takes care of him.  ME!  Mike won't even have anything to do with his son now.  He actually wanted to sign his rights away so he didn't have to pay child support.  He's a deadbeat who doesn't know what responsibility is.  His own mother has disowned him. 

He was court ordered to pay $872 by December 16th or he was to go to jail.  As much as I need the money (my friend bought my son new shoes the other day) I'd rather see him in jail!  He has snubbed the system and has refused to pay.  He does not think he should be responsible for children he brings into this world.
