I took my car to Midas on 4/24/2015. I asked to have my brakes repaired. I was severely overcharged for the work that was done, and I am not 100% sure that everything actually really needed replacement. I was charged $1390.91. My invoice lists items that were worn and needed replacement, but it also lists many items that said customer request, I just wanted the bad parts replaced, instead, they replaced every part in my system, both front and rear. I went to autozone's website to price every part that they used, and I could have bought all the parts for $388 (not including fluid), which was $20 a gallon. Midas charged me $852.07 in parts alone, that is $500 more that what I could have bought them for, and I know that they even get the parts cheaper since they are a dealer. It is very clear that I paid way too much for parts, labor I am not going to dispute. I contacted the corporate office as well as the store and they were of no help, in fact they said that I was undercharged. With the $500 overcharge on parts plus the $409.82 for labor, they profited over $900 on me. I went to AAA auto repair to see how their price compared to midas and they quoted me $900 for the same job that Midas charged me $1390.91 for, the difference basically amounts to the $500 excessive parts charge from Midas.
