Be Proactive and do research

I am not an attorney. This is not legal advice. I can tell you only what I know. First off, Midland Funding has a bad reputation. I believe they are in State of New York. The New York State Attorney's office has gone after them in the past.
This is what I recall on the internet. I would start by copying any texts or voice mail over to a digital recorder. If they are threatening you etc or being a nuisence calling all the time. Then you need proof. I would file a complaint with the following agencies
1. Your state Attorny General.
2. New York attorney General. check and make sure that the company name is Midland and cross reference the phone number on the internet. Then file the complaint.
3. File a complaint with Consumer Financial Protectio Bureau. ( a U.S. government agency)
4.File a complaint with Federal Trade Commission.
Now, there is a organization known as National Association of Consumer Attorney's. You might want to contact an attorney in your area. They are a different breed of attorney. They are not so money hungry. They do need to make a living and still help people.
Now, You need to research what your rights are under the law. Be proactive. never underestimate these dirtbags. I can not stress the research aspect. Be proactive. Do not be scared. Help is out there. I know I been there with identity theft.
Ignore the clown that responded to your report. He is a dirt bag that probably works for them. I wish you the best of luck.

When you use a credit card, you agree to pay the bill with every payment on time, everytime! You can dispute this all you want...thats the way it is. Since this is a subprime credit card, you are a subprime customer. Therefore, this isn't your first time not paying your bills on time!
NO RIPOFF HERE -- Complainer admits to NOT paying on time thus turning on the collections machine which is standard practice.
