Miller and Levine use tasteless tactics to aquire a companie's hard earned money in the form of delinquent accouts, and then turn around and offer the debtors rediculus settlment offers, and then waits for more than 90 days to remit the fraction of the monies collected. Sometimes, no remittance at all.

They recieved a delinquent account from one of my clients in the amount of $3,300.00 and settled it for $1,000.00. They have yet to remit this to my client. It has been over 90 days since they got the 1k in their posession.  When I called them to advise them that they should remit, they refused, and instead started making outrageous accusations about my company.  The woman (I didn't catch her name) just basicly said she's not paying a dime of the money recovered, and refused to aknowledge the fact that holding someone's money without autherization is indeed a crime.

What ever you do, DO NOT USE MILLER AND LEVINE, they will steal your delinquent accounts, settle them for pennies on the dollar, and then never remitt to you. Bottom line; no professional or business ethics. I'd be willing to bet that you'll be seeing Miller and Levine on this page a lot more in the very near future.

AUTHOR: Victim - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 01, 2010

We are in the same situation. We have been dealing with them since October 2009. We regretfully turned over a single account to them for nearly $6500. After months of not hearing from them, etc., we bumped into the debtor who told us he had sent in $6,000 in payments to Miller & Levine...only then did they admit to collecting the debt. We have been told that they have been unable to collect the remaining money and the file was turned over to accounting for payment in Mid-April 2010 and we could expect our check within a week. Two weeks later, called in (okay...called every day several times a day...it's how this company works)...was told they switched accounting firms and it's taking a little bit longer to get paid.  After several weeks of calling and getting the cold shoulder....was told that it is policy that they wait 90 days from date of last payment! Now...this is the first we heard of a 90 day waiting period in all of the conversations with anyone affiliated with this so-called company. So supposedly, we will have a check sent out in mid-June 2010. We really aren't expecting one after all of the BS we have been through with this company and everything we have read on the internet. Quite frankly, we would have been less stressed out and probably more successful collecting this debt on our own.

To make a long story short- we called the Georgia Attorney General's Office- they are a waste of time and won't do anything. However, we have filed complaints with the Atlanta BBB (which have now dropped Miller & Levine's grade to "F"), our state's Attorney General's office and the Federal Trade Commission's Consumer Affairs. If you haven't done that yet, please do so and maybe we can put this company out of business...at least until they move to another state and change their name!
