Miller - Plante Telemarketing Mail Fraud Maitland Florida

This is a sophisticated scam in which the company uses persistant and persuasive "cold callers" offering to send a six month supply of their "Septic Helper" (cost $179.00) and you do not have to pay for it unless you use it.

It comes in a fairly heavy box so if you decide not to use it and send it back, the tendency is to mail it the cheapest way possible. If you do that, they know there is no way to trace whether they received it or not. So, of course, they claim they did not get it.

Interestingly, soon after you mail it back, you get your first bill. Then, when you call and inquire about it and they say they never received it, your name goes immediately to their collection department. Their collection efforts are deliberate and nasty.

If you do a web search of this company, you will see that many state's Office of Consumer Affairs Departments have either, in the past, or are currently investigating this company.

I suppose many people, especially the elderly, just pay the bill to stop the phone calls. That is what they are banking on.

After reading the other "Rip-Off" reports on Miller-Plante it is obvious that there is a long history of this company scaming people.

If you have been called by them - BEWARE - you can't win unless you say no from the very beginning and HANG UP!
