Mittelwest German Shepherds - Julie Martinez ripoff Deceptive Breeding Practices, Lifetime Guarantee a Big Joke Bolingbrook Illinois

I am extremely disturbed by what this person commented. 

I am the current owner of not one but TWO Mittelwest German Shepherds! Task Force Sargent vom Mittelwest "Sarge" (Yasso vom Mittelwest and Pizazz vom Mittelwest) and Zara vom Mittelwest "Zara" (Albert and I can't think of the female) 

Zara is a retired show dog who will be four years old this year.  She now lives happily in the house all the time claiming her spot on the couch at night for sleeping. She is an absolute wonderful female and loves to love people no matter who they are.  She has retired from all other aspects of show/challenges and now just loves having her belly rubbed! (Zara is my mother's dog)  

Sarge is quite possibly the most amazing dog I have ever met in my entire life. I received him for my 18th birthday present.  He's extremely smart and will do whatever I want him to do. He has learned several tricks including how to open the fridge and cooler to get drinks for people.  He is also the biggest lover that anyone has ever met.  He passed his Canine Good Citizen and Therapy dog with flying colors! Not only was he able to do that but he also was involved with Schutzhund when Julie was located in Bollingbrook, IL.  He was able to multi-task between the two and understood that he had to act aggressive ONLY when doing Schutzhund.  My grandmother is ill and now lives with my mother and I.  He understand when she needs him and is constantly by her side to make her day better.

I have NEVER  had a health problem at all with him.  Sarge has a laid back personality.  He runs with me at least 3 miles (ONLY after he turned 12 months old - 1 mile a day; 24 months old - 2 miles then at 30 months - 3 miles;  as suggested by my veterinarian)  a day including walks and play time throwing a ball.  He is a multi-tasker dog and will do anything that I wish him to.  

My veterinarian says that he is the perfect definition of a German Shepherd Dog.  He is approximately 28 inches to the shoulder weighing about 110 lbs but still growing.  He is a red long coated German Shepherd.  All I have heard about him is requests and phone numbers from people asking to have his puppies!! A friend of mine has a long coated female out of Challenger Farms.  We bred them last year.  Out of nine puppies, three of them went onto the Chicago police department!! All of his puppies came out big (a male now is approximately 85lbs at 9 months old).  Six had long coats and three had short coats but all had his deep red color.

Sarge is quite possibly the best thing that has ever happened to myself or my family.  Not only is he a member of the family but an important one!!

I DO recommend Julie Martinez and her Mittelwest German Shepherds to people!!

I own a German Shepherd from Mittelwest ---name - Casey Vom Mittelwest whelped 05/23/00 . He is about 11 years old and never had health problems. I have owned many German shepherds ---- but this guy is the best Dog I have ever owned.

 He is beautiful --- great temp --and smart and was very easy to train ---- his whole life's mission has been to please me my wife and my children. I hope he lives another 11 years ! --- He is an important part of the family.

I would not hesitate to buy another Pup from Julie Martinez

i bought a germqn shepard puppy from Mittelwest last March and this dog was everything that Julie said he was. He is by far the best german shepard dog I have owned. I have contacted julie to ask her questions and she was always prompt and great in her answers.

Mittelwest sells many dogs and I have only read 2 unhappy responses. To me this is a great record.

Sorry for your bad experience but you cannot blame the breeder.

I purchased a 7 month old GSD from Mittlewest September of 2008.

We picked the dog up at Julie's house, at our request. We spent about 3 hours

there, getting used to the dog, asking questions, and seeing what the dog had

learned to that point.

I found no evidence of any misrepresentation of what we were purchasing.

We were not pressured to continue with the sale and were asked if the level of

the dog presented was what we wanted and expected, as other dogs were also

available at the kennel.

I don't know what else Julie could do, to make sure her dogs are going to the right

home and to the right people for what they want.

As for the quality of her dogs, look up their pedegree and their place in any

shows they participate in. This is a matter of record, not word of mouth.

My female will soon be 10 months and is a valuable member of our family.

She is beautiful, healthy, and intelligent.

As far a Julie goes, this is my first deal with her and would not be my last. She has

returned any calls I have made and responded to every email.

I spent one year getting ready to make a choice on breeders, Mittlewest was my

choice, I don't believe I will regret it.

If, by some outside chance this person who calls himself "Bob" did, in fact, actually purchase a puppy from me here at Mittelwest German Shepherds, it is very important for consumers to know that "Bob" has never called me, nor has he ever emailed me to discuss any issues with his puppy. If "Bob" or ANY OTHER person, who has ever purchased a puppy from me would KNOW FOR CERTAIN.. that I have an OUTSTANDING guarantee that is one of a kind in the breeding community.. I have an OPEN DOOR policy here at Mittelwest... any person who buys a puppy from me is 100% guaranteed complete satisfaction in regard to their puppy for ANY and ALL reasons... this includes the health of your puppy, as well as the temperament of your puppy, the looks of your puppy, etc. IF, for ANY reason, a puppy buyer is not 100% satisfied with their puppy, I will replace the puppy free of charge. I offer this guarantee and open door policy here at Mittelwest so that NO PERSON ever needs to worry about purchasing a puppy that is less than they desire. I have also seen Mittelwest dogs firsthand and have been concerned that alot of these dogs are not only being bred but are being represented as something they are not and are being sold for very large amounts of money. These dogs main selling point appears to be their titles, I urge you to ask to see these dogs in action, I have seen Mittelwests VA titled dogs at a sieger show perform very poorly, some not even listening to their handlers and running off to pee on trees. Most seem to have very little prey drive and to not be built soundly-they appear to me to be bred for beauty, not durability. For dogs sold as shutzhund prospects the ones I've seen have displayed very little natural drive for this sport-they do not display anything near what I expect for the hype and titles. Alot of these dogs appear to have weak immune systems are are susceptible to health problems. I urge anyone considering one of these dogs to not be bashful about making them sign a contract that protects YOU. Not them! If you dont like the contract, ask them to amend it. If they won't I would suggest moving on, you can find a better puppy for less than or around half of what their dogs sell for.
