On April 14th, MK Sales, also known as MK Supplements and MK Suppliments, charged my American Express Card for $89.95. I reported this to American Express immediately. The charge was "suspended", while American Express investigated the charge. On May 11th, I received two bottles of what they call "Health Supplements." On May 15th, I received a letter from American Express saying that they had heard from MK Sales, that the order and charge was valid, and that the inquiry was complete.
I have tried to contact these people, and have not heard from them even once. Does this sound like a reputable company that charged me honestly for products I actually ordered? I have left telephone messages on April 15th, 17th, 20th, May 11th, May 18th, and June 3rd. I have e-mailed them on April 16th, 17th, 20th, May 11th and May 16th. I have never once received any reply whatsoever. I have faxed copies to American Express of all of the e-mails that I have sent to MK Sales.
The "health supplements" that I received were "Body Cleanser For a Healthy Colon". This product appears nowhere that I can see on their website, which I visited for the first time in April AFTER noticing the charge to my account.
I have never before had a problem with my American Express Account. Nor has American Express ever had any problem with me. I have always paid my bills, and have never before disputed a charge. I DID NOT ORDER these products. They arrived in a plastic bag with no postmark on it, and there was NO paperwork inside the package with the bottles of body cleanser. I have no order number because there was no order! I will not return these products to this company until I have heard from them, and am assured that they will act in good faith and refund my money. My local postmaster tells me that to do so is risky, and that I actually am not obligated to return anything that I did not order. I will, of course, be happy to return these bottles, after I speak with someone from the company who will give me the appropriate paperwork , and will agree to receive the package COD.
This is becoming a very frustrating event, as you might imagine. Today, while googling the website for MK Supplements, I found this website, and there were many other stories that are essentially identical. Has anyone been successful in getting this charge removed from their American Express Account? I'd love to hear how!
