I too, like the individual in Florida, was ripped off by MoneyNowUSA with their so-called shopping card. I was looking to take out a loan, but chose not to at the time. In the meantime before being directed to the loan company they find for you that best suits your needs, they offer you this $7500 shopping card along with the loan - I like a FOOL checked this box. I never took a loan and never received anything in the form of a shopping card, BUT they were extremely quick to remove the $29.95 from my checking account. I still have no Shopping Card, but now also have two more deductions out of my checking account for $9.95/ea. When you call their phone number they give you some garbage about they have "unusually high call volumes" so you can't leave a voicemail or speak to anyone. They indicate that if you wish to cancel your shopping card you should contact them via e-mail at "contact@moneynowusa.com" to cancel your shopping card - just leave your name - city, state, and zip code. That's all fine and dandy, but the e-mail address is garbage too and does not work.

I have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and I used that same number that they give for the manager in Arizona - Chris K. Kay (602) 722-7657 - I was able to leave a voicemail with this person, but we will see what type of response I will get. I will probably just have to close out my checking account and open a new one in order to stop this. WHAT A PAIN! I am usually pretty cautious, but I must have been nuts that day when I even attempted this. I have fully learned my lesson. I don't care about a refund at this point - I just want this to stop!

MoneyNowUSA Came Through with Refund

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 26, 2009

On June 25, 2009, I filed a report here on Ripoffreport.com complaining about MoneyNowUSA being a huge ripoff. As of today, June 26, 2009, they have refunded me the money they took out of my checking account for a shopping card I never received. This probably has to do with the fact that I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau first before filing my complaint here. They indicated to me that they are going to update this shopping card part of their Website because it seems to be confusing many people. Still, when you call and are trying to resolve a problem and you repeatedly get a message telling you that you cannot leave a message because the box is "full" and they give you an e-mail address that doesn't work - what are you to think - of course, you think you have just been ripped off and how much more money are they going to take from you. I appreciate the fact that this got resolved as quickly as it did - THANK GOD for the Better Business Bureau. Needless to say if you run in to the same problem as I had with MoneyNowUSA - contact the Better Business Bureau.
