Monitronics International, Inc. ripoff! Don't trust this so-called security company. Get a dog instead! Dallas, TX TX and USA

Was satisfied with early Monitronics home security service. Had to move before completion of the contract. Persuaded new owner of property to continue the service. Followed proceedure and notified local provider of change of gave new owner information.

Never was acknowledged in print, told all was well. Moved in April 2003, received call from old address collection agency in May. that was the call from Hell. Rude, bad language etc. (later found that new owner of property received call that same day with same rude manner. New owner said he would rather tear out all the wires than do service with Monitronics.)

Kept calling old address provider. Was told collector was fired and not to worry... all was well. Kept receiving bills. Continued to call. Finally in June was told to pay $58.98 and everything would be settled with Monitronics.

During this period the installer changed and I was in contact with a new person. This continued for months and I was forced to leave voice mail messages at Monitronics and local installer. Continued toattempt communications and even hung up on one bad call finally receiving letter for full collection on orig. contract.

No amount of communication worked because of Monitronics system. Under protest and stating that I did not acknowledge this to be a legal debt I paid to get relief. Do not trust this so called security company. Get a dog. Don't deal with one....and they protect some government buildings.
