Monroe Muffler ripped of by idiots Windshield wiper incident put me over the edge. ripoff Watertown New York

My husband's truck needed an oil change and windshield wipers, so we stopped and picked up the wipers, and installed them on the truck.

We then drove to a fast lube owned by a friend. After they changed the oil, they told my husband they could not reattach the plate that protects the underbelly of the truck, because they had to cut the ZIP TIES to take it off to get to the oil filter. ZIP TIES? Yes, and the bolts that usually hold it on had been broken off so they couldn't screw it back into place either

My husband was furious. We then drove to Monroe Muffler and told them what had happened (that was the last place the car was serviced) all the manager could say was "that's not standard procedure."

Well they said they would get the broken bolts out and drill wider slots and put thicker bolts in, no problem. This must mean that the guy who did it (who was "on vacation") was a bad seed - right. Not exactly, a few minutes later the guy came out and told us we were gonna need new windshield wipers, and that ours were in pretty bad shape.

"That's funny" said my husband "because we just installed those about 2 hours ago" the guy got a strange look on his face and said there must have been a bug stuck in one of them.

I would have been completly satisfied and probably screaming the praises of how they took care of somthing that a bad employee had screwed up, but the windshield wiper incident put me over the edge. I will never go there again and neither will anyone I know. oh and I ripped the 2 free oil change coupons up and threw them in the trash.
