Mountain Area communications They lied about the amount they were going to be charging me for their service then would not allow me to cancel when I saw the rediculous charges on my card and now say I owe them $898.20 Russellville, Tennessee

I had gotten an E-mail saying that I won a gift card so I called the number then the company offered a magazine service for $4.99 a month so I agreed. Come to find out later it was not $4.99 a month. I found several charges on my card for $50.00 and a few charges for $12.00. I tried to cancel the service they refused to let me do that and are now saying that I owe them $898.20. I want my money refunded and for them to stop harrassing me everyday and sending me notices in the mail saying I owe them and that they are going to send that to collections.

I got the same e-mail and phone call and I tried to cancel my subscription also and they would not let me do it and they are very RUDE!! I called them back two hours after they contacted me and they said to cal back because my order was not in the compputer yet, so i called the next morning and they said their was noting i could do about it and i tried to explain that i did not recieve anything and i do not want anything from them i just wanted to cancel my account they claim that i agreed to it and their is nothing i can do about it!!  so I have reported them to the BBB and you should do so as well. These people are scammers and need to be stopped. If they do send it to collections then it will just keep getting cheaper and cheaper on what you owe and if you totally ignore it they will put it in default and you will not owe anything and in a few years it will go away. I do however find it amazing that they let such UNEDUCATED, RUDE, and MORONIC people such as the lady named Cindy I talked to run their company!!
