Mountain Area Communications This is a SCAM in most cases they already have your credit card information Even when you say NO they will still charge you Sneedville, Tennessee

I received a phone call today about a free shopping spree worth 1000.00 in the back of my mind I was wondering what the catch was. The girl on the other end of the line called out a credit card number and asked if this belongs to me, like an idiot I checked and said yes. They then offered me a magazine subscription, I said NO THANKS I was not interested in any magazine subscription she explain it would only cost $3.85 per week for 6 magazines I still said no thanks. Her reply was we have your card number we can charge it anyway and then she had the nerve to say thank you.

Stated that I was not comfortable with that!! They stated that no money would be taken off my card until I got the information in the mail; they just wanted to make sure that the card was valid. I repeated myself 3 times "you are not taking any money out of my account?"I was on a fixed income they stated no, that they couldnt without the3 digit code on the back of the card, found out later they didnt need this... So I felt safe but still uneasy. Their call came in at 10:23 but they ran my card at 10:31 of course I didnt know this until I had got to the bank and they pulled the records I went to my bank as soon as they hung up and en-route to the bank their customer service called me to ask if I had a problem and I said yes I am NOT authorizing you to take NO money out of my account unknown to me they had already process the account. Went to the bank closed the card and talked to the fraud division, explained to then what happened and they flagged the transaction stated this would not go through. The person with the fraud division stated pretty stupid of them to call me and give me my card information without me giving it to them this was an alert to me. I should have said NO this was not my account but they may have run it through anyway. This company needs to be SHUT DOWN.

 I stated right on the recorded message (they recorded) I do not authorize any money to be taken out of my account!!!!
