I was in need of a 60k tune up on my Honda Civic, and I was suggested to go to Mr. Transmission because I was told they were a quality and upstanding group. That was certainly not the case, and I honestly wish I would have just gone to the dealer to get the work done. I was over charged based on market rates for the servics provided, the total cost came to just shy of 650. If I had taken it to the dealer I would have paid 450 or less. The quality of the work appears to be fine, but I payed almost half again what I would have else where. Save your money, go to a dealer or another mechanic... not these rip offs.

I owe Mr. Transmission a sincere apology for posting this. After I received the bill, I was livid based on what was written on it. The cost of the services appeared far too high. However, after cleaning my car out (I.e. removing dirt that was inevitably brought in from it being worked on) I found the slip where they had written down the work as they did it. The gentlemen at the shop had not only replaced my front breaks, but they also resurfaced them. Additionally, they did not just eye ball check things like the battery or belts. They actually took them off to check the functionality and cleaned them before putting them back on. At this point, I am feeling guilty like I did not pay them enough for the number of services and checks they preformed. So, for the good fellows at Mr. Transmission, you have my sincere apology for posting this in the first place. I wish I could find a way to remove it, but I have not yet.
