Two salesmen came to my door with their pitch to sell magazines.  I was strongly encouraged to help them out.  I didn't feel comfortable and looked up their business on the internet and read very bad reviews.  They said I had to write two separate checks.  One for $63, other for $65.  I asked for my checks back, they refused to give them to me.  They got in their car and drove away.  Before they left they said I could cancel in three days (enough time to clear the checks).  The gave no phone number to cancel, they said someone would call me.  Scammers.  I called my bank to stop payment on my checks and reported them stolen, as they refused to return them at my request.
