I was contacted by Multiview who explained they were the leaders in the industry for advertising to automotive dealers- we discussed terms of their marketing services- I stipulated that I wasn't absolutely sure when I would be able to utilize their advertising since I had a first priority objective to complete. They told me that they completely understood that they would not hold my feet to the fire- and work with what ever date I was ready to launch my campaign. The lead sales rep - or director insisted that he would do whatever was necessary to work with whatever dates even though it could be three to four months out. I was told that I should just sign the contract (anyway) to agree to the terms of pricing and nothing more- I told him again that I wasn't sure when I would likely kick the campaign off. The following day I contacted this representative and told him that the content wouldn't be ready until sometime in October if that - I insisted that he would send an email to my attention indicating the company understood no further action would take place on their end until I could determine a starting point. He forwarded an email to my attention with the understanding their was no obligation on my end and told me to relax and have a drink! Two weeks later I received repeated calls and an email from a sales representative at Multiview asking me for a credit card or a good faith deposit check- none of which I ever agreed to. I forwarded an email reply to the sales consultant and explained he had no business contacting my place of business collecting on debt that I do not owe in the first place! Later, the following week I received an invoice from the company telling me I owed payment in the amount of $1800 - I immediately contacted the company for clairification they insisted I owed the money. I told them this wasn't the case- I did speak with the General Manager and he apologized for the mistake on their end. Yesterday, I received another invoice in the mail and the invoice was dated two days after the General Manager assured me he would rectify the situation. I contacted the billing department again... this time I am told I can expect to receive another invoice in October. I left several messages with the General Manager and also sent several email's that I have no intention in doing business with this company. If they think they are going to bully me into paying $18,000 dollars I didn't agree to they can think again. No company should be allowed to use these kind of abusvie tactic's to sell online advertising. I will be more than happy to take this dispute to the governor in the state of Georgia- that is where my next letter will be going to!
