MWI Simple Escapes 2 Fraudulant charge on my bank statement Connecticut

When balancing my bank statement against my checkbook, I noticed a $139.95 charge dated 12/26/02. Since I had no recollection of the purchase, I called the telephone number listed (an 877 number in Connecticut). I talked to a man named Mike, who explained that I had purchased a discount program.

I told him I never purchased any sort of discount program and that I wanted the charge reversed immediately. He said he would do so, and that it would take 3-5 days.

In the meantime, I went to my bank and filed a fraudulant report. In a few days, they will credit the money back to my account and contact the Simple Escapes bank to reverse the charge.

I am not sure how they got my credit card number. Internet purchasers beware! Someone out there is providing our numbers!
