I would like to report that this company, Simple Escapes2, has
charged me $139.95 on my credit card. I had no idea how this could of happened because I have in no way registered for any vacation package in April, the month my credit card was charged.
I read reports from other consumers whose credit cards had been charged the same amount as mine from this company. I realized like myself, they had been called over the phone and agreed to a $25.00 gift card from K-mart. I had been called sometime ago and I do remember signing up for this $25.00 gift card during the morning hours before my first class.
I would like to note that there is a company called "Simple Escapes", however I do not believe that this is the same company or "fake company" as "Simple Escapes 2." I could not find an address or website for "Simple Escapes 2" and the only information I have is the phone number and state of the company on my credit card statement.

I had initially thought this company
was a scam because I had been charged
$139.95 on my credit card and I had not known what it was for. I did not recall purchasing
anything from a company called Simple Escapes.
I had been called previously by a company offering a trial "gift card" and after reading
other complaint reports from this website I
assumed my case was similar to other the
other rip-off stories posted.
I have searched further into my records, and
found that while participating in an internet
game "Somebody Likes You" I did infact
register to recieve a $25.00 trial gift card from
the company "Simple Escapes" in order to receive clues about a supposed secret admirer.
I never recieved my $25.00 gift card and forgot
about the whole thing. As it says under the
terms of "Simple Escapes" I had a 30 day trial period free, then I would be charged $139.95 annually unless I cancelled my membership.
I am rebutting my own statement because I have
contacted Simple Escapes, and explained the fact I had been charged $139.95 and never received any gift card. Simple Escapes agreed to send me the gift card with an additional $100.00 credit added because I never received any $25.00 gift card, and I was charged. My advise to myself, and others is, "One should not get involved with strange internet games if he or she cannot keep track of too many things at once."
