Unfortunately I am one of the many people who appear to have fallen victim to this company.

I made a google search on 8/12/05 for a psp for my daughter for Christmas as the UK stores only appear to have the 299 mega packs available. At the top of the page was mydv (a google sponsered link). I checked the site, it all seemed good, looked at other sites and decided to order from mydv as it appeared to be a UK site and stated delivery 5-7 days. I specificaly did not want to order from abroad being so close to Christmas.

On Monday 12/12/05 the funds were withdrawn from the credit card, but I only saw this yesterday (Wednesday) in USD! I was slightly confussed as I could have sworn this was a UK address. I checked out the site and the invioce again and it looked to be a UK bussiness, why has it been taken out in USD I asked myself. I went to work and thought about it all day, my worry then was that the PSP was shipping from the USA and it may not arrive in time for Christmas.

When I returned home I rang the number given on the website and I GOT THROUGH! It was an Indian man who spoke broken English, I asked him why the funds were withdrawn in USD, where was my PSP shipping from and had it left the warehouse. He told me it was a US company registered to trade in the UK, my PSP was coming from the US and they recommend 2-3weeks for delivery of PSP's. I told him the website said nothing about the item being shipped from the US or that it is a US company or that you should allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. He was very nice and agreed with me and said they would try their best to get it to me in time for Christmas. I then asked the man where exactly was he located and he said INDIA, the customer services was in India.

As you can imagine I was very upset and got the 'sickening feeling' that I had been scammed.

I took to the net and ran a search on the company to discover the many pages of dissasitsfied customers, if only I had done this before placing an order. I found the excellent site http://www.mydv-ripoff.co.uk/whoismydv.html and took to the phone to demand a refund. I could not get through on the phone line last night so I sent an e-mail, just in case.

Today I took my mobile to work and after 2 hours I eventually got an answer. I told them I wanted to cancel the order but I was told I couldn't as it was being shipped today. I stood my ground, said I did not want it and that I had read several bad reports about the company and if they did not refund my money I would contact the card company and take legal action.

I was immediently transferred to another operator who said they would refund and it would take 7 to 10 days, I told her that if it doesn't get refunded in the time stated I would take legal action and that I am informing the credit card company of the situation.

So we will see what happens. I will keep you informed.
