Nancy Henry does not pay Austin Internet

Nancy contacted me from a Craig's List posting with a sense of urgency claiming her previous developer had left her in the lurch and she had a demo coming up.  I dropped everything and got to work analyzing the application and tracking down a number of issues.  When I mentioned payment, she indicated that payroll was on the 1st and 15th.  When I griped about it she agreed to next day the check to help me get on a bi-weekly economy (I'm a freelancer).

When I next spoke to her, I asked her for a tracking number and she informed me she 'just dropped it in the mail'.  That was weeks ago.  She has promised to put my invoices on a credit card and has not done so.

The original invoice was on the 8th and was due on receipt.  It's now the 25th and there has been no action on the invoice.  Check hasn't arrived, invoice has not even been viewed much less actually paid.

Nancy is passing herself off as a Christian and therefore, a good person.  But my impression of her is that if you ask if it's raining outside her answer would be based on what it would serve her agenda for you to believe rather than whether it was actually raining.

I have since gotten in touch with her previous developer who is also still owed monies and shared my concerns as to her verisimilitude.

Do not work for this woman and do not invest in her projects.  She is getting a letter from my lawyer and I have no doubt she will be involved in a multiplicity of lawsuits before her project ever gets off the ground.
