When I was first contacted about nhcd, the person who called was very nice so I listened. Especially considering that she had gotten my resume off of Monster.com, so I thought she must be legit.

She assured me that I could receive my money back within 1 week and/or after 100 calls. She made it hard to say no. So, I went through the process and was set up with a manager named CHARLIE PARDIECK who has to be the most ignorant person on earth. A-this woman never sent emails that could be legible or give any information on how I was supposed to do this job. B-she sent about 20 emails a day about NOTHING! C-the woman called everyday and left some nasty messages on my machine when I wasn't home to answer.

So, I emailed her telling her that I didn't think I was cut out for this kind of thing if I had to call people like that all the time. Not to mention that I never even got all the information that I was supposed to. I also said that my husband was upset about that money ($69.00!!!!) and that we believed that a person shouldn't have to spend money to make money.

So, does she call me or email me to try to change my mind or help me to understand or even to make it work? Course not. We are not dealing with the most educated people here. She emails me this: "... it is REALLY silly to quit at this point because your deposit is irretrievable until you put in 500 presentations [whatever happened to the 100 or 1 week?] and by the [sic] time, you very well may make TRIPLE that deposit you put forth (I did) and your husband would have no reason to be upset. Why dont you do something for yourself?? Or does your husband just control EVERY move in your life???...if so thats sad and Im [sic] sorry for you."

Isn't it wonderful to know that I was about to work for a company that would allow an ignorant b*tch to be a manager like this? Well, Charlie, who the hell do you think you are? Maybe pathetic macho women like yourself don't have to respect their husbands, but I happen to respect mine. It's no wonder you have to do this from home because you would never make it in the real world. And for everyone else, don't fall into the trap. They're all nice if they think you can do something for you. The same day this "lady", and I use the term loosely, wrote this, I started my new job in a law firm. So, for anyone wondering, there are other jobs out there. Don't fall for this one.

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Fired? They don't ever really fire anyone

AUTHOR: R - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 13, 2005

It's really hard to get fired from NHCD. What was the reason they gave you? They don't ever really fire anyone unless you work your hours and have nothing to show for it, which means you would have been unsuccessful.

They don't fire anyone because it's people like you that keep the company going by paying their fees and doing the dirty work for them.

If you had gotten to management you would have seen how much the company likes to rip off their own employees and would know all the inside dirt.

There are so many more companies out there that actually offer legitimate work at home jobs that you actually get paid for what you're doing.

Don't let NHCD bring you down.

Sounds like a company plant to me!

AUTHOR: C - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 13, 2005

This response sounds like a company-planted response to me. Probably to try and cover up the great post by the Ex-Manager from LA that is oh so true!!!

This is their #1 excuse why people don't make it with NHCD: "they just don't have the discipline to work from home." Bull!! The fact is, when people get through their first 50 or so numbers and discover the numbers are basically useless (unless you're lucky enough to catch them when they're fresh)they take off. Why? Because no one wants to spend an hour dialing with no results!! Who wants to work for free? I've seen days where you can dial 300 numbers and get one or two leads!! Then you have to worry whether you'll be paid for them because you are totally dependent on what mood the sales reps are in when they dial your lead. Will they return it or not?

So don't feel bad that they let you go! They would have terminated you anyway, whether for high returns or missing quotas (W2) or for high returns or low sales % (independent).

Everyone make sure you read the Ex-Manager from LA post!!

exemployee-- oh how i wish i was'nt

AUTHOR: Tina - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 12, 2005

My case is so different from all the stuff I've seen on here. I had a great job with NHCD, I loved the work and found I could be successful with it. The problem was me, for some reason I just could not find the discipline I needed to do the work. The tv or the kids, something always came up. And even though I had every intention of working, I cant say I was surprised when they let me go. At first I was angry and couldnt believe they wouldnt give me one more chance.

But looking back and reflecting I now know that I had a chance at something good and blew it. After reading all these remarks on this site I have to wonder how many of them are people just like me.

As I head off now to my new job...the same type of work but supervised....I can only wish that another company as good as nhcd would come along soon....I wouldnt mess up again
