National reader Service called me today and asked me if I have problems getting my magazines since they've got a lot of report coming from my area that these consumers didn't get their magazines or received it ripped or torned. I told them I have no problem with it. Then they proceeded in telling me that I still have 30 months left to pay since I subscribed to a 5-year subscription plan. I told them I no longer have any payments left since I already paid my 2 years in full. This representative by the name of Jackie said I might have paid my first 2 years in full since I can't pay the whole 5 years at once. I told her that I had spoken to a supervisor before when I called to cancel my subscription and he told me that I can't cancel it but instead of 5 years, I could opt for 2 years. He'd give me a discounted price if I pay the 2 years making my account paid in full and will no longer be renewed and all transactions are complete and accepted which I did so I won't have any more problems with these magazines. She told me she's sorry that the person I talked to didn't make it clear the first time that I may have paid the first 2 years of my subscription but that still leaves me another 36 months to pay. I was so furious. Then as if to make up for it, she said she'll let go of the 6 months which will leave me 30 months to pay which could save me upto $300+ worth of money. She then asked for my cellphone number, asked me to verify my birthdate and address and if i want to change the visa credit card they have on file and charge it to another credit card. I told her that I was talking to a supervisor before so he should have known better and I should have known better. But then like an idiot i gave her the info and along with my credit card number. Then this lady transfered my call to another lady who calls herself Shawnee Kansas who talks so fast you can barely understand what she's saying.

Along with my other info, she also asked me my social security number which I was so hesitant to give but she said it's a requirement. Like a fool again and a complete idiot, I gave it. Then she offered me identity protection for $6.99 a month and that I could always cancel it and I declined since I already have one but she didn't know that and then if I say NO they would no longer renew my subscription. Anyway, the number who called me is 724-470-2027 but they said I could call them anytime to change magazines free of charge at 1-800-304-8567. Then I looked up my files to find out that it was Century Marketing Inc. that I've made a transaction with before and the 1-800 numbers were completely different and instead of Washington, PA they were located at Helena, MT. So what I'm gonna do now is call my credit card's customer service and tell them not to authorize any charges coming from this company. Since I already have their numbers I won't be picking up any calls from them or whoever numbers I don't recognize.

PS: oh, I forgot to state that instead of the 60 something dollars I have to pay each month, my discounted monthly bill charged automatically to my credit card will be $49.90 for a total of $1497.
