National Union Fire Insurance Company Scam Jacksonville, Florida
*General Comment: Seems like a scam to trap seniors
*General Comment: Not a rip off
My parents had received a letter stating their policy had lapsed and to send in IMMEDIATE payment. She tried to call on a Saturday during their stated hours and their offices were closed. So I did some investigating and discovered they have been trying to get people for a while now.

Seems like a scam to trap seniors

My mom received one of these letters in the mail telling her that her payment was passed the due date and she needed to pay now (checking account info or credit card), giving monthly and quarterly amounts. The letter referenced the July 2016 payment (we are in Sept.) and mentioned it needed to be paid by 0/15/2016. Yes that is typed correctly. What month is "0"? Yes, Mom has learned well to call the bank using the number from her statement and not fall for this scamming crap. I am so proud of her. She has an auto debit for insurance already and no information has changed so there is no need for a money order, credit card or checking account number. Glad my 80 year old Mom knows better and keeps those who don't and get fooled in her prayers.

Well here goes first of all it's not a ripoff if you would pay attention to your checking account by online instead of not checking it at all you would have not iced the charge right away. Second you want to know how you got the insurance (which can be very lucrative it's like AFLAC) your bank gave them the information they signed you up for a policy either when you opened an account or when you took out a credit card or mortgage. Third all you have to do is ask your bank for the number to cancel the policy.....just an FYI they send out a policy and a upgrade letter before hand you just didn't pay attention to what it was. If the bank won't give you the number then you write NUFIC Program Adminiatrator, p.o. Box 44260 Jacksonville Florida 32231 I am a very happy and well paid (for doctors visits) customer.
