Nationwide Movers USA Scam artists and liars Pembroke Pines Florida

I wish I would have read the reports on this site before I entered into a contract with Nationwide Movers USA. Everthing that happened to them has happened to me and my wife. They were suppose to arrive in the morning and they came at 5:30 pm. They arrived in a old dilapidated truck with no ramp and the back doors were falling off. The contract to move my furniture from Georgia to Maryland was $2900.00 After loading our furniture I was told it would now cost $5900.00. I had the driver call Mike (one of the owners) and was told that I had a lot more furniture and boxes and it is what it is.

Dee, who was nice and helpful at first, is the one who low balled my quote by the way. I am now supose to come up with half the money. I was so irrate that I wanted to take the furniture off the truck. The truck driver, Sergio, said that I should call in the morning and discusss it with David, the other owner, and he would probalay work with me. I wrote them a check for $2900.00 which he said he wouldn't accept at first but it was so late there was not a bank open.

Needless to say no one ever answered or returned a call. Two days after they said they were suppose to arrive Mike called and said the driver would be there later on that day. He also said he wanted me to cancell the check I wrote and get him cash or he would not deliver our furniture. I went to the bank to see I could cancell it and I could not because they had already cashed the check. So now David says he will not deliver the furniture until the chech clears. My wife and I are staying in a hotel becuse we have no bed, covers or furniture. When the check cleared they demanded cash for the other $2900.00 or they would not unload and I had to pay the full amount. I gave them cash and only part of my furniture was delivered. Most of our things were broke or damaged.

I finally parked my truck in front of there truck and said I would not let them leave until I talked to David. After two hours the driver called him for the 5th time and I had a heated exchange about there tactics. I asked for some of my money back and he said I was not going to get s__t. I was also told to go to hell.

I still have serveral items missing and will never see them again. I am also out of $5900.00.

This is truely a scam. I intend to report them to every authority I can and try to put this company out of business. The sad part is they will stop doing business as Nationwide and start another company with another name. Thieves and jerks like this are a menance and need to be put in jail.

I took this time to warn anybody thinking of doing business with this company. Stay far away or you too will become a victim. Look at all of the complaints and see how similar they are. The tactics and names are the same. I cannot believe there are such rippoff artists working in this industy. The whole moving business needs to be investigated. I know there are a few good ones out there but please be careful and do your homework.
