We contracted to move from Galveston Tx to NY, NY. When Julian called, he would say it's very low season and there is huge discount. After asking for furniture list, he gave me a quote. I was out of town and didn't know exactly how many stuff we have. Julian said: you can always change. What he didn't tell you is that you can always change with added cost.

After paying the deposit (of course they said you can always cancel and get the deposit back) , I read the terrible review right after paying the deposit and wanted to cancel right away. So I called Julian back, he started giving you the Better Business Bureau website and said their rating is AAA..(Never trust that, please ...trust the review from the customers) and promised me he will make our move exceptional. My husband read the review and wanted me to pull back . I had fought with him and told him that he has to trust people. Well, I should have listened to my husband.

Due to recent hurricane, our island got hit badly. So our elevator was broken since after hurricane and we lived on 5th floor. I didn't want to take advantage of the movers. So I wrote two emails asking Julian if that's ok. He didn't reply both emails. Three days prior to our move, we called to change/confirm our furniture list since we started packing and know what we have..

after telling them our more detailed list. The cost just went up by 1100. They my husband told him again about the elevator situation, Julian slipped out saying that they only cover three flights and anything above that is additional charge. So I sent an email back to Julian and asked him when he didn't tell me that when I sent him two separate emails about the situation. This is his reponse.

The additional charge for additional charges is obvious. If your covered up to 3 flights of stairs and Elevator and your elevator happens to break, then obviously you will be charged for 2 steps. Its not our fault that the elevator is broken. There was no way for you to foresee this either, So, this is NOT a Hidden fee, this is an additional service that your move will now need. I do not see what the problem is, When I spoke to your husband and I toon the time to break everything down for him, he was quite pleased.

If we go to your home and services are needed to finalize your move then you will be charged. Let me give you some examples to avoid any possible unforeseen situations:

1- ALL TVS MUST BE BOXED
2- ALL DRESSERS MUST BE EMPTIED AND BOXED
3- ALL MATTRESSES MUST BE WRAPPED WITH A MATTRESS PROTECTOR.

These services would have been charged for you with any moving company, So there is NO reason to send Emails with threats about complaining to every website about our service, when the move has not even transpired yet. I am sure the move will go absolutely fine, this is not a large move.

we are not working in the industry and of course don't know about this. that's why I had sent him two emails..and apparently he is saying we are stupid enough not knowing this. and when I called his supervisor about this..he didn't apologize for not relaying all the necessary information. But saying: unfortunatley, you have to pay the additional labor ..

This is really really bad company...please please don't use them.. we don't even know if the people gonna show up and if there is more charges down the road..they basically press you for paying the deposit and getting the papers signed..if you want to know more about how bad the company is, please contact me at (((email redacted)))
