Money got tight and my boyfriend and I were carefully reviewing each detail to his online banking account. This miscellaneous charge of some $40+ kept recurring on the same day each month and he couldn't figure it out.

Eventually we put two and two together and realized it was from the company he purchased some vacation package from 9 months prior.

Not only did they take his $280+ for a vacation package they never sent him, but signed him up for some long-distance calling card plan that he never agreed to. He immediately called the number and got a rep who explained he should appeal it in writing.

So I drew up a letter, insisted on the accumulated total refund amount of some illegally drawn $300+ and sent it certified saying that if it wasn't returned to the account within 7-10 business days, he would pursue legal actions and report it to the Bureau of Consumer Protection.

Needless to say - the monies were returned and a package was sent. Until today, I thought his vacation package was authentic and was going to extend it for an additional $25 to use it next year (expires in 1 year - hmmmm wonder why!). Now I know better thanks to this rip off site. They aren't getting anymore money from us.

PS - For 6+ months he never received his vacation stuff, and they said it must have fallen through the cracks --- my a--!
