My story is much like the rest that I have read on here. They don't make the payments on time. When you report it, they say they will research it and that it could take a couple of months. Months later, they want to know why you waited so long to report the incident. (I guess they don't keep records of conversations.) I finally cancelled payments to NCRC and just started making my payments myself.
I contacted the BBB and the Florida Division of Consumer Services only to find out that those two agencies do not have any "power" to require NCRC to take action. I noticed online today (5/6/04) that NCRC is a member of the Better Business Bureau and that the BBB does not show any unresolved complaints against this company. I am in the process of recontacting the BBB to find out what happened to my unresolved complaint. I guess we should take the advice of one of NCRC's employees in their rebuttal and file a suit against NCRC. Anyone interested in starting a Class Action Suit against NCRC should reply to me by clicking on the rebuttal button.

Also A Former NCRC Client Trying to Get My Refund Back
AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

Judging from what others have been contributing over the last 2 months I'm getting the feeling that anyone who still has an outstanding refund is going to have to take action on their own. I did call Customer Service today and was directed to an extension which was a recording. I left my personal info there but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Given the fact that nothing constructive has come from NCRC to reassure us about our refunds I would also be interested in starting up and/or participating in a class action suit against them.
Mike from Lewisville Texas (May 10, 2006) has solicited others to do the same and this is my attempt to get in on the action.
Does anyone know where or how to proceed? Add your thoughts and comments and let's get our money back!

I am an attorney in Chicago with a lawsuit pending against NCRC, and would be interested in discussing your experience with the company. You may have valuable insight into their business practices.

Rough Start with NCRC
AUTHOR: Jack - (U.S.A.)

I signed on with NCRC about 3 years ago. At first I had problems with creditors missing payments or payments being late.
I took it upon myself to watch my statements very closely as my accounts were in good standings and I had good credit (I was being overwhelmed with the payments is why I signed up). During the first few months I called NCRC just about every week. And after about 4 months everything had worked out great.
My accounts were re-aged, late fees and over-charges were dropped. Though I still had a problem with payments being late, and with 1 more call that was worked out also. I did not realize that the payment date had changed and had not told NCRC. My mistake, but they corrected it.
3 years in, I have 1 credit card paid off and the other one should be paid off within the next year. The hardest part was the waiting and watching, feeling like it was a very bad dream. Signing up I had 1 card at 10,000 which is down to just under 3000 and my card I paid off was at 8000 balance is now 0.
When I made the large payment I did have a problem with the person that took my call. She did not put all of the payment on the card I requested, this could have been due to a language barrier. I called back, got the same person, which I was not very pleased with but got it resolved.
Other than the large payment and the first few months, everything has been very smooth. I still check my statements, both the credit card and NCRC. And if I have a question about the smallest detail, I call and I get the answer instead of waiting for a big problem.
Best suggestion: Check your statements (credit and NCRC), Call NCRC (Even if they say they will call back tomorrow, call them. You are not their only client. They have to check their records, contact the creditors, and check with your bank.) and plainly take responsiblity for YOUR credit. NCRC is there to help assit you, not take resonsiblity for your credit.
Pleased with the service I have received, Jack in Michigan

Willing to Join a Class Action Suite Against NCRC

I too was a victim of NCRC, they did not pay my bills on time and I accrued late fees and more finance charges. I finally severed their "contract" and requested my deposit back, I was told at the beginning that I would get it back if I cancelled services before the 5 years were up or could use the deposit as my final payment...well when I requested my deposit back I was told it was a set up fee...hmmm that was news to me. I was going to sue them but an attorney said they misrepresented themselves but according to the "contract" they only agreed to pay my bills, not necessarily on time. Why would anyone need them to pay your bills late? I could have done that on my own. I finally had to file bankruptsy because my bills had accrued alot of additional late fees and finance charges.

BBB update, they can/will not take any additional action against the company

Because my complaint was filed before NCRC became a member of the BBB, they can/will not take any additional action against the company. Before any action can be addressed through the BBB new complaints have to be filed since the time they became a member.
