Signed up for $1.95 7 day trial to get information on creating google links. Company starting charging bank account $69.95 a month stating it was in the terms and conditions that I had to opt out with the 7 day trial period.  The terms and agreements are very vague. I say "are" because there were two different ones worded slightly different. Neither however clearly state that you "MUST OPT OUT" or your account will be charge. Kyle the supervisor said it is the consumers responsibility to read the terms of the agreement before giving their bank info. I took exception to this as the terms are vague and don't clearly state or express otherwise that if you don't opt out you will automatically be signed up. Behind the smoke this is nothing but clear fraud. First they dupe you into giving your bank account# by telling you it cost $1.95 for the "free" trial. Second, they have two separate terms non of which clearly state that you must opt out. Below is an excerpt from both terms;

*** 7 Day RISK-FREE Trial: $1.94 is required for instant trial activation. With your successful trial signup today, you'll receive your instant RISK-FREE access to NetCadetPro for 7 days and a 14 day trial of AlternativeFunding only if you chose to accept this bonus offer.

I know that if I don't accept any other offers, there will only be a small $1.94 charged to my account today for the RISK-FREE Instant Access Trial. I will have 7 days from my original purchase date to decide if NetCadetPro is right for me. If I decide to continue, I understand that NetCadetPro will automatically accept my eligible enrollment and I will continue to receive the service at a discounted rate of $69.95 per month.

The key here is the statement "... If I decide to continue..'. I never decided to continue and no where does it state by not making a decision will I automatically be billed. What it say's is "If I decide to continue, I understand that NetCadetPro will automatically accept my eligible enrollment...".  This implies that I have to make a decision not that it will be made for me.

This is the worst kind of fraud because they actually believe they are legally if not morally these types of bait and switch tactics are okay.  I will give the company some props for taking my call but it really irritated me when  the Customer Service Manager, Kyle, made reference to the fact that "... consumers should read the terms and agreement before entering their bank accounts on-line". Like my wife stupid and should have figured this out before signing up.  The truth is my wife is very bright and was just looking for a way to help pay the bills. She did read the terms and was misled.

To kyle I would say honest companies try to state clearly up front what their intentions are. They are also usually responsive when they realize a consumer is not happy with the product or felt mislead by the advertising. They can still can do the right thing but my guess is they are only in it for the short haul. They will make their money off unsuspecting consumers and then go off to some other scam. Not to say their product is not viable, I just don't like the fact that they sold it to me without my authorization. I have already submitted a dispute for the charges with my bank and will be submitting the terms and agreement to the Washington Attorney General. I also may submit this to the local networks in hopes of preventing other consumers from being ripped off of their hard earned money.

**failed to mention that you changed the website terms

AUTHOR: Robinetm - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 09, 2009

In response to statement that I failed to read and include the terms in my original report. That is just not true. Not only did I read the terms but the terms I put in qoutes were exactly as displayed on your website on October 22, 2009 when I filed the report. I assume that it was that way in August of 2008 when we agreed to to the $1.97 charge for information as there was no mention of an "opt out clause". What you conveniently failed to mention is that sometime, shortly after I filed my report,  you changed the verbiage to specificy an "opt out" clause. I assume this was done after reading my report and/or getting numerous complaints. While I applaud Net Cadet Pro for making this change you still need to credit the customers whom you fraudulantly charged under the old terms.  However, you have already shown your true colors so I would be "shocked" if you actually did the right thing.  I'm not expecting my money back I just hope that I can stop people for doing business with you and hope that the Washington Attorney General will prosecute Net Cadet Pro for ripping off so many people.

**STOP TRYING TO JUSTIFY THE SCAM

AUTHOR: Robinetm - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 08, 2009

** THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS NOW ON THE INTERNET ABOUT YOUR COMPANY'S BUSINESS PRACTICES THAT IT IS SOMEWHAT COMICAL THAT YOU KEEP TRYING TO JUSTIFY WHAT YOU ARE DOING.  IT IS LIKELY ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE WEBMONEYT IS SHUTDOWN BY THE FEDS.  BY THEN YOUR COMPANY AND POSSIBLY YOU WILL HAVE MADE A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF MONEY RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. TO AVOID PAYING ANY FINES YOU WILL PROBABLY DELCARE BANKRUPTCY AND THEN START ANOTHER .COM BUSINESS USING THE SAME TATICS. BUT PLEASE KNOW THAT EVENTUALLY IT WILL CATCH UP WITH YOU AS DISHONEST COMPANIES AND INDIVIDUALS USUALLY NEVER WIN IN THE LONGRUN. YOU HAVE MY $140 BUCKS, WHICH I HAVE RECEIVED NOTHING FOR BUT A BUNCH OF UNWANTED E-MAILS AND PHONE CALLS FROM COMPANIES WITH WHOM YOU SHARED MY INFORMATION.  EVENTUALLY IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS I WILL BE OVER IT.   YOU ON THE OTHERHAND HAVE TO LIVE WITH YOURSELF. I EXPECT ANOTHER FULL REBUTTAL AGAIN JUSTIFYING WHAT YOU ARE DOING - "I WOULD NOT EXPECT ANYTHING LESS" - BUT NO MATTER HOW YOU SPIN IT, WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS CLASSIC "BAIT AND SWITCH".   I DO HOWEVER WANT TO THANK "WEBMONEYT" FOR REMINDING ME AND MY WIFE THAT THE INTERANET IS FULL OF DISHONEST COMPANIES AND INDIVIDUALS. CONSIDER THIS A $140 LESSON LEARNED! P.S. I DID SUMBIT A COMPLAINT TO THE WA AG AND DID GET A RESPONSE BACK AND I PROVIDED THEM WITH YOUR ADDRESS.

Attorney General

AUTHOR: Robinetm - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, October 23, 2009

I just finished reporting this company and add to the WA state Attorney Generals office. Ironically when I checked the website this morning they change the verbage in the terms an agreement. I'm happy to see this but will be surprised if they will admit their wrong doing and credit our account. $139.00 isn't worth taking legal action but hopefully the AG will do something. I would love to see some jail time for the crooked executives and owners of this company. I wander if they will fess up to changing the site. I least they would be honest crooks...
