So I read the reviews before I picked this company and they were mostly bad but i went with the company anyway because they sounded cheap and were so nice on the phone. DONT DO IT. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. We were moving from Utah to Florida for medical school. Were were given the estimate of 1,200 for our tiny one bedroom apartment. Thought that was pretty good and they said they over estimated so it may not even be that much. Were were told the move would take one week and i was skeptical because it was across the country but they kept saying one week from the time of pick up. We were told the truck would be there between 8am and 10am. I called many times and they kept saying the same time. So we booked our flights to Florida for 5pm thinking that would be safe even if they were a little late. They came at 6pm and we missed our flights!!!! Then we got to Florida quickly to meet our truck because they kept saying one week. THEY HAD OUR THINGS FOR TWENTY DAYS......20 DAYS. The contract does say it could be up to twenty days so i feel like they kept it and took their time cause they were under contract. It was a coincidence that on the twentieth day they decide to show up. Also they said we had more boxes then we said and wanted to charge us an extra 2,000 for the space. Even though the company says its not about the space it's the weight. ??

Then they show op on the TWENTIETH day and say they can't make it into the apartment complex with their truck. They didn't even try. So we had to go get a Uhaul and move all of our things our self and pay them $2,000 for doing it ourselves. Then we are asked to sign a form saying nothing is broken. WHAT?? how do we know what is inside all those boxes. The moving guy hands us the contact in his underwear. He wasn't even wearing any clothes at the time. He was also very disrespectful when speaking with me. My husband was the most upset about that. So we hauled all of our things 100 feet into our apartment with my six month old strapped to my chest and began unpacking. Every box had something broken in it. We had to stay in a hotel for the twenty days they had our things with a six month old, no crib, nothing, plus pay for our own Uhaul and move our stuff ourselves. DONT DO IT. It was such a bad experience. ELI was our driver, LESLIE did the estimate and JOE was the boss I talked to who wouldn't help us out or work with us at all!!!! I called all the time and they would just say it's summer and we are busy.

Another New Planet Employee Screw-Up

AUTHOR: the Grim Reaper - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, September 22, 2011

I am delighted that you think I am someone else, that means you have very carelessly done your research. The same way you carelessly rip people off, destroy their property, and write your own good reviews. There are now 922 people in this "New Planet Moving SUX" campaign and if the woman you mentioned is one of them, so be it and GOOD FOR HER! We are still sending out 5000 emails a day about your deception, fraud, and extortion and many of our followers have elected to post reviews under our screen name (since we have offered it to all). And guess what! We ARE NOT going away. We will continue to gather members and post bad reviews (which are ALL TRUE) about your company for the rest of our lives. Think about it, that's 50 plus years for many of us. You are a pack of pathetic liars who hold people's furniture hostage in order to extort more money from them. You destroy a third of what you deliver, and you breech every contract you make. Check Better Business Bureau rating, was a C minus, fast approaching a D minus. You crooks are scum and it will catch up to you. Grim Reaper and Friends

At The End Of The Day...

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 04, 2011

...the consumer should have believed the reviews he/she read.  A low price is no excuse for shoddy and abusive service.  The rip off begins with this company purposely low-balling an estimate for doing a service and then having no intention of honoring the price.  Why?  Because the mover knows full-well he's allowed to under the law.  The mover knows they don't have to deliver under the law for 20 days.  Promises?  The mover thinks promises are for suckers.  You can read it in the comments provided.  The mover doesn't care.

Insofar as to the mover's comment - just remember a scam mover like this fool...is lying.  Scam movers lie the minute they open their mouths.  Any positive comments about a mover are generally planted by employees or owners of the moving company.  Otherwise, why would someone who had a wonderful move come to a site called ripoffreport.com?  Answer:  no one.

One day guys, someone is going to be smart enough to lift the limits on Carmack, and then you'll be out of business.  Until then, all consumers are well advised to (1) stay away from movers located in Florida (2) stay away from movers on the internet, and (3) if at all possible...do it yourself.

Sue them!

AUTHOR: the Grim Reaper - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, July 29, 2011

I found an attorney on CheapLawyers.com that will sue on contingency. There is also a class action suit circulating around thru someone called the Grim Reaper (find on Facebook under name of Jax Ajax). These criminals did the same thing to me and I do not intend to let them get away with it.
You can sue for ALL the costs and damages and for emotional distress. Also, be sure to file complaints with every agency and website that will allow your complaints. Owner's name is Moshe Alosh, this Joe character's name is Yossi Cohen, and Leslie Fontaine, Fara Gallegos, and Lauren Canavan are also personally liable for your losses. You can sue them individually as well suing the company as a whole. You can and should also file criminal charges against them for fraud and extortion. Do the world a favor and don't let these barbarians get away with this. I have several websites where I am posting complainsts such as yours. Can I reprint this complaint on that site? Let me know. You can send your response to Schatz@2bots.net. Take care and good luck.
