As a returning student, and eager to find grant money, when I completed my FAFSA and saw "New USA Funding" pop up, offering access to apply for financial aid, I signed up for $29.95.  I understood this to be a one time fee, as there was no mention of continued billing to my credit card unless I cancel "subscription."  The following month I saw that I was charged again.  I called the company and was told that I could cancel my subscription on their website.  I could not find anywhere on the site to do this. In the meantime, I was charged again.

I called my bank and complained.  I changed my credit card so that the company could not bill me again.  I went online to research and found that others have been scammed out of their money, including young, college-bound teenagers.

I filed a report with BBB and will be sending a letter to the State Attorney General.

What really sickens me is that this funding site pops up right after completing the FAFSA, and millions of students complete the FAFSA.  I wonder how many students have been ripped off?

If you are reading this, please spread the word about this scamming "business," especially to high school students!
