My story is basically the same as all the others here. We went on our honeymoon and at the airport we were offered a free trip to Chichen Itza and to Xcaret if we listened to a 90 min sales pitch at Krystal. It lasted much longer than 90 min. and refused the offer several times over and over. We finally broke down and accepted an offer that included several free weeks and vacation discounts and coupons. I cant remember any exact numbers but we eventually ended up paying about $9,300 for a studio. It was sold to us an investment. We met some old Dallas football player who showed us his Superbowl ring and let us know how he could be trusted because of how cool and famous he his. Ok... So yes we foolishly bought in and paid the place off in a couple of years. We were originally told that if we didn't use the place there would be no fees. Well, there has been a fee every other my of $623.69. We were never able to rent out our time share like they assured us we could. We sure as heck didn’t make a profit on our "great investment". Now over 5 years later that we are trying to get away from the whole ordeal we cant even give the place away. In fact we’re stuck under a contract and have to pay 10% of the $9,300 we initially paid to get out from under it. It's all so incredibly frustrating!

If you're reading this, I'm sure the same happened to you and I'm sorry. Do What you Can to get out from it now. I only wish I had cut my losses a long time ago. We haven't had the opportunity to use it once. Unfortunately shortly after the honeymoon the economy began to go bad and bills pilled up. Thank you Krystal Cancun for helping to make our honeymoon a memorable one.

Sadly, your situation is something very common, it happened to me 2 years
ago, i've spent a lot of money and i was scammed by other companies.
I recommend you that if you're going to hire a company to help you with
the problem, DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UPFRONT, because it use to be a fraud.
I was investigating a lot on internet and i found some interesting articles,
maybe this one could help you with your problem:

Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: margaretsims90 - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, March 21, 2015

The timeshare scam works just the same as other timeshare scam operations, very similar to the tactics used by Mayan Palace. The sales staff invites you to a 90 minutes “sales presentation”, promising free gifts and cash, but without telling you that the real purpose of the invitation is to take you to a timeshare presentation, which is strictly forbidden by the Mexican law.
