Steve Dills, aparently a con artist for Legacy Merchant Services based out of Tempe Arizona came to my office explaining the benefits of using Northern Leasing Inc. equipment. The benefits were considerably good and after explaining to Steve that I needed a mobile solution to process transactions he began to ask me my info. and writing this info on the very same sheet that I would be signing within a the next couple minutes.
He explained that they had a virtual terminal resolution and that regardless of where I was, as long as there was a PC with an internet connection I could safely sign into a secure website and process any transaction. "Perfect, so if there is anything else I can do for you or if you have any questions please be sure to call me anytime and I'll be more than happy to help." After that he rushed off to his next sucker. With that said the info that I had given Steve Dills was all info that would be needed to get this process started or so I thought...Within a few days I received a package in the mail which contained, you guessed it, a credit card machine! I then called Steve Dills that very same day and asked, "why?" he said, "oh, odd, let me call the office and I'll call you right back" famous last lies.
I've called both Legacy Merchant Services and Northern Leasing Systems many times only to get at least 3 different storeis from both of them. Northen Leasing still calls my place of business at least twice a day with threats of sueing me! THESE PEOPLE MUST BE STOPPED !! LIES, ILLEGAL PRACTICES, DECEPTIVE WAS OF DOING BUSINESS AND TAKING THE CONSUMER ON A RIDE FROM HELL!!!

I will tell exactly why they do this: Add a piece of equipment to the lease!
The Federal Trade Commission has ruled that a "Virtual Terminal an Intangible" cannot Qualify as a UCC 2A lease.
This type of lease is more favorable to the lessor than it is to the lessee!
And this is probably what your lease says somewhere.
(That this is a Finance Lease under UCC 2A)
This man that did this to you was probably under instruction by Northern Leasing to do this to skirt the ruling of the F.T.C. and that is the reason they send out these "probably worthless" machines.
Now they can say that you do have a Tangible Piece of Equipment so therefore this is a legal contract.
Northern Leasing does not have one ounce of common decency what so ever!
You ought to check with your state to see if they are even in compliance as I do know that they are "not in good standing" with the state comptroller office of Texas.
Going after the agent would still be the easiest thing for you to do! But odds are the agent would settle out of court if you sued him, because they are way to afraid to stand up in front of a judge.

Legacy Merchant Serices of AZ is not associated with this firm. The only thing that we have in common with Legacy of AZ is a similiar name. The owner of that organization is Mr. Richard Kuhlmann.
Mr. Kuhlmann is not now, nor has he ever been an employee or an Officer or Director or Shareholder of Legacy Merchant Services, Inc of Texas, if you will.
Legacy Merchant Services, Inc. has no business relationship with Northern Leasing. Legacy of Texas stopped doing business with Northern Leasing in 1999.
It would be greatly appreciated if our legal name "Legacy Merchant Services, Inc." and any referance to Legacy of Texas be removed from this complaint. An explanation to your readers is in order!

Northern Leasing Systems continues to try and hold me responsable for a contract that Steve Dills altered after I signed it. Steve Dills of Legacy Merchant Services added a Nurit POS after I signed. Then rushed off to next sucker leaving me no copy of contract. I repair computers in peoples homes and am always on the road, what use would a machine that requires stationary use do me? NONE at all, then I was told that this was standard proceedure and used for back up. This is BS, who in their right mind would agree to a $50 a month for 48 mo. back up???? This list goes on and on, when the hammer slams on this judgement day you can bet your a*s I'll be first in line for my buck!
