Northern Resolution Group Stonewood Consulting Group Scam artists Williamsville New York

So I'm contacted by Stonewood Consulting supposedly a Law Firm but when I asked to speak to an attorney none were avaiable? I was told I owe a payday loan that I don't remember taking out for 1000.00 Now I offer to pay only because I wanted to get more information. So I recieve an offer letter with a bunch of Typos on it.

The name of the company to verify the debt is  Northern Resolution Group. When I called there a person named Devon (by the way the same person I spoke to at Stonewood) tells me the original debt is 530.00 obviously a big difference. I then call back to Stonewood so when I challenge them on the difference in amounts I get threatened.

Bottom line this is a scam that gets played out all the time. I should also mention the orginal payday loan company MY Quick Funds had the date as March and these people said I took it out in January. When these people call you tell them you are filing a complaint with the FTC and the FBI both of which will prosecute them to fullest extent of the law. Usually that will make them nervous and its always good for a laugh when they threaten you.
