I recieved a collections letter from Northland on behalf of LLVN Funding claiming I owed over $3300 to Sears National Bank. I have not had a Sears card in 15 years, and any debt from that card is past the statute of limitations and fell off my credit report years ago. Further, Sears National Bank has not been in business since 2004. I sent a cert return recipt letter disputing this debt. This is just a scam to collect from unsuspecting persons who don't know the law and the FDCPA. Don't pay Northland anything without asking for debt verification in writing and checking your credit reports.
