BEWARE OF NU U MED SPA!!!
Just SAY NO!! I am currently in a dispute with Nu U Med Spas Oakbrook location for laser hair removal in 3 problem areas. I began to notice scarring so I stopped the treatments to see if the scarring would fade. This is in JUNE 2009. As JANUARY 2010 the scars have not gone away. As I have only gotten half of the treatments I decided to not even ask for my money back but to ask for the remaining balance on my account be removed. Mind you, I have been paying faithfully since June, EVEN after I noticed scarring. Unfortunately I did my research recently and found out the no refund policy from blogs such as this, but I am not willing to pay for future services not rendered, or for future COSMETIC procedures that lead to scarring in visible places. So far I am filing a formal complaint with their financer MedChoice and going in to the office to see how they handle my situation. I will keep you updated. Also for those interested: The Illinois Attorney General's lawsuit charges that practices at the seven spas in Chicago and area suburbs violate several state laws, including the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Reported by CBS2 chicago!! I sincerely wish that I had done my research before being coerced into not only making a hasty decision and not being given a copy of the contract or adequate time to read the contract. Also the process is PAINFUL. The website claims its painless but they give you an icepack after the procedure for the PAIN. After researching on various websites I have decided that I should make my voice heard as well to warn people about Nu U MedSpa. I will keep you updated on how they handle my case!

Great Spa

I went last week and had a great time. For my first visit, i did Micros and Chem Peels, and I couldn't have been happier. Great service, Nurses and technicians, and everything was very hassle free, which I definitely appreciated. I've heard about Nu U Medspa, and even with a poor reviews, I decided to give it a try. i look for deals people!!
I am not just a 5-star girl, but I am certainly an optimist as well as a realist, and this place totally delivered. No attitude and nothing pretentious, a awesome deal, and I'd be wrong if I didn't let people know that mine was a very above average experience. Nu U has not let me down! Hope this helps, and I hope y'all get to enjoy some time here.

UPDATE: So After I posted here I was immediately contacted by their customer service representative. They let me know that they would try to get this settled in the best way possible. I assure you that after reading the posts here I was EXTREMELY SKEPTICAL. But in all honesty they truly did their best to make sure that my problems were dealt with. Since I last posted I have been in constant contact with the SAME customer service representative through phones calls and emails which was was pretty awesome since they knew exactly what my problem was and it made me feel as if they actually cared about what was going on with me. And also when I wasn't able to talk to someone and left a message I was contacted within a day. Thankfully the problem has been FULLY RESOLVED!!!! Even though I was not satisfied with the initial care that I recieved at Nu U I am completely satisfied with how my dispute was handled and the EXCELLENT customer service I recieved!!

Nu U MedSpa's Customer Service has been in continuous contact with me about this issue since they heard about it and they are working hard to resolve it with me. So far I have been impressed with the costumer service I have recieved.
