Nubodi Colon Cure Beware the Colon Curse... Fradulent E-mail, Credit Card Charges and Extreme Illness Las Vegas Nevada

On 2/11/08, I recieved an email from my accupuncturist concerning a project I was working on with her. Directly after her e-mail, another one was sent using her unusually spelled first name in the "From" box. This could have been just an unlucky coincidence.

I followed the links in the e-mail which took me to a website advertising a Colon Cleanse. Beacause I had been working on digestive issues with my accupuncturist, I trusted that this information which was seemingly sent to me by her (it never came from her computer), was a safe reccomondation.

The site advertised a free trial of the product. I paid for shipping and handling ONLY, using my Chase Credit Card. The site appeared to be secure with a 'secured lock icon' at the top of the screen.

I recieved the product 03/01/08 and began taking it on 03/03/08. By 03/07/08 I had extreme stomach pain, explosive diarrhea and have become dangeroulsly dehydrated. Upon visiting my accupuncturist later that day for my scheduled weekly appointment, I mentioned my pain due to this product and she explained that she would NEVER prescribe something by e-mail and to stop taking the product immediatly!

Today, 03/08/08, I found the information on Ripoff Report regarding this scam.

I attempted to call the Nubodi Co. but could not get through.

I then contacted my Credit Card company to file a dispute. Luckily I caught this early enough to be able to have the $3.95 Shipping and Handling and the $89.31 (which had JUST been charged to my Credit Card) eventually reversed and to be issued a new CC# so further charges cannot be made.

I am still experiencing awful illness due to this 'Colon Cure' and am on the verge of going to the Emergency Room tonight if I can't get my fluid levels up.

I called my accupuncturist and asked her for her expert advise on the list of ingredients in this product I had been taking. The product contains high levels of diarrhetic herbs which can be potentially fatal when taken by anyone who has recently experienced extreme illness, the elderly or pregnant women. Just getting over a week long flu, I became an unfortunate one in the 'potentially fatal' category.

I will update a post on the outcome of my health and will take legal action if necessary. This company NEEDS to be stopped before that first fatality occurs!
