I have joint, physical, legal custody of an 11 yr old boy w add.  I have been living with ptsd now for sometime it gets worse as I deal with the courts and child’s father. The best interest of our son now as of September 2015 I get to see our son at 5:00p.m. On Friday no sooner because the father will not allow a sooner time    Sunday at 700 p.m. only three weekends a month No other extra time father won’t allow me more time or courts. this is suppose to be joint custody!

By request from a medical doctor and cps my sons father was told he needed to seek counseling for our son with add. Father feels son has no issues no need for an evaluation for add.  

I have made numerous complaints to foc about the father not following through doctors this summer even prior to the motion. I still have not heard anything from them. Oh yes this is after 2 lawyers went in on my behalf to talk with foc no judge.  First lawyer lied to  court officers about my story to what is going on an also the  first lawyer  told me the "referee ,"all ready thought I was crazy” well, I fired her and got a new lawyer with money I barrowed. Nothing changed with second lawyer. Quite honestly the system did nothing for our son but take his time away from his blood family. Older sister

Haven relates to my   story with this is very normal how Oakland courts handle these domestic violence issues in Oakland County; I continue to stand by watching our son struggle.   They seem to side with who makes more money also.

I would like to mention now I have to pay child support which was ordered September 2015. Why of course I am in the arrearage now because they went as far back as July. Now this was very unfair considering he makes twice what I do as a single mom in school trying to make more money.  I will pay my debt to him it’s for our child.

Prior to all this 2012 recommendation was made by the same referee and they disregarded all of what they wrote to the judge. One of the main reasons the referees said I could not see my son more time because I am a school bus driver and I am a single mother. Both my attorneys said this would not have happened in Macomb County!

Thanks oakland county friend of the court, just like cps this summer says my complaint was for the police department. Police department says its  cps or friend of the court matter. Dont matter in a 3 places. counselor reported the situation to cps and un founded and now a police matter.

 Thanks to veteran’s affairs of Detroit because i am a vet  and haven they provided me with safety plan in 2012 to move out.  Another company furnished my apartment to aide in making my sons transition easier.  All this was arranged for the domestic violence that was happening to us. my son still continues to deal with the domestic violence but w father and step mother.
