Do not buy from Okie Dokie Auto. I have had my vehicle less than 3 months and already had a problem with it. I took it to my own mechanic to inspect and found out that my vehicle wasn't even road worthy and shouldn't even have a valid inspection sticker. Some of the problems found were: Blwon plugs and frayed wiring, engine fan not working, engine wiring hanging from the engine and not even attached, both rear bushings bad, rt front tie rod needs replacing, the engine has been taken out and replaced with a different one, coolant leak, oil pan leak. Whe I contacted the dealer with this info, he was unwilling to listen and said that my mechanic was trying to rip me off, but when I originally purchased the vehicle and made the dealer aware of a clunking noise (which turned out to be the tie rod), his mechanic said he couldn't find the cause of the clunking. I would never reccomend this place to anyone.

okie dokie auto has yet to make good

It is now a yr and a half later since I wrote the original rip off report regarding okie dokie auto. I had to go as far as filing a law suit against the company. After many emails, letters, mediation and a hearing, I have yet to heat from the owner. The court ruled in my favor and although I didn't win 100% of what I was asking for, I won the majority of it. Do you think that I have seen any payment yet? No I haven't and this is just another reason why okie dokie auto is a rip off. Now the owner is defying the court. So now I'm going to have to take them back to court. Waisting everyones time just for them to stand in front of the judge and give some bold face lie on why they haven't paid me yet.

Thank you for your response, Christina. The only problem here is did you have a warranty with this car? If not, you bought it "AS IS" and all repairs are on you. Getting them to be honest with you, after the fact of purchase, won't solve the problem...if you have no warranty. From your description there are alot of things wrong with this car. I would highly suggest you start a business relationship with a real mechanic...an independent mechanic who has a real fully equipped shop. Don't use a dealership...you'll pay thru the nose for SUBSTANDARD service. Don't use Walmart or one of those quick oil change places either. Find a real mechanic with a real shop...a "REAL" shop, not somebody who works out of a storage shed. Get him or her to advise you what needs to be fixed first which may affect your safety.

Honesty

I did have this car looked at before I purchased it. The only thing is, it wasn't looked at by someone who was able to put it on a lift and go through it thouroughly. So yes, that part was my fault, but if the dealer wanted to make good on the deal (especialy know that the engine had been changed and didn't disclose that), instead of just blwing me off, we could have worked something out. I'm not lookig to get all my money back or even get a new vehicle, I just want the dealer to be honest and admit that he was in the wrong too.

Do You Think....

You took this car to your mechanic and he found tons of problems. He inspected this car AFTER the purchase.
Do you kind of think the common sense thing would have been to have him inspect this car BEFORE you bought it???
