I received a bill from One Call on behalf of Navicomm in the amount of 9.32 for web access they alleged I used on 9-15-2005 at exactly 10:26PM for 3 minutes. I have had wireless high speed internet with telespectra for over 2 years now. Very pleased with the service. I called the billing number and was put on hold for 20 mins before actually speaking to someone. The thing that was funny about this bill is that they have my address and my phone number but the area code on the bill is (760) which is riverside/san diego and my are code is (928) which is Yuma Arizona. I mentioned that fact and the Billing rep asked me if "that is your adress right" I said yes but that's not my area code. That's also my phone number but that's not my area code.
They are pulling numbers out of hats. I am pleased with my phone company which is also my long distance provider as well as my cell phone provider. Who would be stupid enough in the first place to have web access that cost them 3.10 cents a minute (thats broken down for the 9.32 for 3 minutes in which I was billed). For services I can guarantee I never used. I am listed in the phone book its not rocket science. This is a scam to get people to anti up money for services they never signed up for or used ever. Nice try Navicomm!
I will also be reporting them to the Attorney Generals office and the better business bureau and any and all consumer fraud sites I can put them on.
So when you get one of these scams in your mailbox, have a look at the are code they put on the bill. How many ppl actually paid these scumbags withuot looking at the fraudulent bill thouroughly. Not to mention the only way you can pay if your were stupid enough to do so, is with your credit card LOL. Visa/mastercard/Discover. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Why not just give them my SSN and the keys to my car, my house and here take my husband for the night knock yourself out. Right...right....
Refuse to be scammed even for 1 cent.
