I ordered an NEC ND3550A DVD burner and eTrust ISS 2006 bundle from TigerDirect.com on June 8th, 2006 (6/8/2006), which has three rebates, CA-2400 (US) of $40, CA-2402 of $30, and TD-2680 of $20. I carefully checked and made sure that I met all requiements for the rebates, printed the rebate forms from OnRebate.com as instructed, and submitted everything for the rebates properly via usps.

I chose to receive my rebates via PayPal. Their rebate terms clearly state that I will receive my rebate payment within 8-10 weeks. The $20 TD-2680 rebate payment was received relatively soon. The other two rebates, $30 CA-2402 and $40 CA-2400 (US), have also been accepted on June 22 (6/22), which means that all the required documents have been properly received and that I should be able to expect my rebate payments within 8-10 weeks. However, it has been almost 14 weeks as of today since the rebates were accepted, but I have never received the payment.

I have tried to email them three times, twice to support@help.onrebate.com and once to status@help.onrebate.com, since 10 weeks after my rebates were accepted, but have never received a response. The only phone number on their web pages, (888) 222-9300, was totally not helpful at all, either. The only things I could do via the phone were to check the rebate status (which I've already known that they were accepted and are being processed) and to listen to the stupid FAQs which can be found on the web pages. I was never able to contact a real person to ask about my rebates. It seems that the only way to contact them for real is to file a rip-off report to get their attention.

AUTHOR: Li-lun - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, October 06, 2006

As of today, more than 15 weeks after my rebates has been accepted, I finally received my rebates. I don't know if their forwarding my information to their accounting department has something to do with it.

Dear Sir,

This is the second time I write you regarding my rebates with tracking numbers xxxx and xxxx. My previous email was sent more than two weeks ago, but I have not heard back from you yet.
In your FAQ you claim that you will be happy to assist me, but it seems apparently not.

My rebates were accepted on June 22 according to your online rebate tracking status. In your terms you claim that I will receive my rebate payment within 8 to 10 weeks. It has been almost 13 weeks since my rebates were accepted, but the status is still payment pending, and I have not received my rebate payment yet. Apparently you have violated
your own terms in the rebate, and I demand you process my rebate payment ASAP.

Sincerely,
Li-Lun
