I bought a car locally at my Toyota dealership and they financed the loan through Onyx Acceptance Corporation.

The company repossed the car when I was 2 days late on a payment and without a phone call or "right to cure" letter.

The lady in charge of my account spent several days playing games with me when I tried to payoff my account. When we asked for a payoff amount to be faxed she said, "We do not do anything in writing, it is all done verbally". My car had been taken to a city 3 hours away. It had many personal belongings in it including my baby's car seat.

It was scary enough to send a bank check without written verification, but we also couldn't get an answer to how much the storage fees would cost.

This company also tried to charge me a fee for their insurance even though a copy of mine was faxed to them the first week of purchase. They also called my friends and harassed them several times.

Do not do business with this company or you will live to regret it.
