Options University Brett Fogle Lying About Ripoff Report.com Internet, Florida

First, it's clear that this person is attacking with such vehemence that it can ONLY be either:  One disgruntled employee or the hapless wife of a former partner who is upset I rebuked her repeated sexual advances (an unfortunate ally of the disgruntled ex-employee).

Regardless, these claims are false.

My ex-wife was never a topless dancer, exotic dancer, or anything related. There is nothing that can back up this fabrication. It was a rumor only. I met my ex-wife in Virginia and we then moved to Florida where we married and she was an aesthetician and then helped run several of our internet businesses from home. Not that it's anybody's business, but the marriage was largely a casualty of the business, and working inhumae hours trying to build a leading source of quality education for investors worldwide.

My father's chain was a great success story in the Washington DC area. Started from scratch in 1981, the company grew to 19 stores in 3 states and was at one point the largest privately held video store chains in the region. We did NOT specialize in porn as this person asserts, but in Foreign films, and the Classics as well as a wide variety of new releases, and we were known for for knowledgeable staff, good prices and great selection.

So clearly this person is incorrect and making up lies.

Just as above, the claims of lawsuits or criminal matters are also untrue.

I'm not sure what records these are, but they are not the same person.

I would also point to the very positive things our company under my management have done over the last several years, raising over $120,000 for various charities, including $40,000 we sent to help the Haitian people after the devastating earthquakes.

It's truly sad this person has nothing better to do than attack us publicly, and write misleading and false statements just to make a point. The information I've posted here should hopefully put this to rest.

What is more amazing is how guys like Brett Fogle can continue to Lie, cheat and steal from people and get away with it.

It's truly sad and pathetic that this person has chosen to attack my family and try to bring in my personal life to make me look badly, when they are just angry about losing their job or have some personal vendetta. 

My father built one of the most respected video store chains in the MD/VA/DC area with 19 stores, a true success story. Our most successful store is still operating and *specializes* in the Classics, not porn as this moron asserts.  People drive from miles away to rent from us because we have the best selection of Foreign and Classic movies in the DC area.

I do not attend porn conventions. This is a lie.

My Pet Store did not fail. It was sold to an attorney and ran successfully for years.

The Pond business was very successful, and was also sold, and continues to be a profitable and successful website on the internet.

I will not address my marriage other than to say that if people knew the true story they would call me a saint.

I have never conned anybody into anything. My problem is that I'm too nice, to a fault. So I've learned some very valuable lessons along the way. Especially about finding and hiring the right people, and staying away from the wrong people.

It's a shame that public forums like this exist, to anonymously attack people's character, even if there's no basis for their comments and it's unfortunately impossible to make everybody happy.

We've served thousands of happy and satisfied customers over the years. Yes, a few fall through the cracks and we do our best to make it right. Some (lately more in this economy) make unreasonable demands and when they don't get their way, they attempt to make trouble like this person is.

It's enough to not want to be in business, but that's the reality of the internet. Sad but true.

Do your homework people. These are all facts verified through public records, Private investigations, background checks and interviews with past associates & colleagues. 

Brett Fogle is not only a disgraceful con man, but a very shady individual.  Here are some verifiable facts that he cannot deny- these are all true and you can verify them yourself- but I bet he denies them all. 

He regularly attends pornography conventions- his father, Benson Fogle runs a string of video stores called potomac video, which had stores in Maryland, DC and VA  and started in and whos marketing niche was renting adult films rather than mainstream pop-culture films. 

He was married (now divorced) to Jenna, a stripper or as they like to sugar coat it as "exotic dancer".  Check police records in fairfax, Virginia for all the drama you can uncover on domestic disputes they had before they divorced.

Check boca raton police records for more charges against him.  He also runs a fish pond business that was a result of a failed pet store that he onced owned, below one of his fathers porn video stores.

He claimed to be an expert on options but he was also once a day trader who lost hundreds of thousands of dollars of his own money, which tells you if cannot even day trade well- options are more deadly. 

I could go on forever with all the information I have on this guy.  It would blow your mind, but quite frankly if you do business with him, you will be in trouble and you only have yourself to blame after reading this.   

Our rating has been affected by complaints against another company, which we are addressing.

There is nothing here to respond to other than we provide the highest level of Options Trading Education available.  

People who know options trading (including our customers) tell us this.

And yes, our instructors are trading real money, with real trading, and happen to be far outperforming the markets.

This sounds like a disgruntled competitor or somebody upset for other reasons, only intending the harm the company for personal reasons.

Here are the facts:

Options University LLC hasn't been an operating company since 2009, when the business partners separated and 'Options University' was re-organized under a new entity.

It's relevant, because the entire staff is different now, and all customer issues or questions have been addresssed.

The current BBB rating is 'C' but again, is based on information from the prior company.  But also, has been unfairly attacked by customers of another company that is not related to Options University, which we had an arms length marketing agreement with but we no longer do.

So for this reason, the BBB rating is not reliable.

Everybody should also consider the now well known scandal whereby the BBB was found to be favoring companies that were listed in their database (ie:  paying them money) and unfairly penalizing those who were not.

Options University has not been paying their fees since 2009.

Just my 2 cents as a business owner.

We've always been there for our customers, but invariably people get upset when they don't get their way, or try to get their money back after a fair and valid refund period.  

We have employees to take care of, taxes to pay, health insurance premiums for our employees families, and yes if there's anything left over, we like to make a small profit.  

However, we will always honor our refunds and promises to our customers as we have in the past. There have been no ripoffs here by Options University. Ever.

On May 25, 2010 this company's accreditation in BBB was revoked by BBB's Board of Directors due to failure to respond to one or more customer complaints filed with the BBB. Factors that lowered this business' rating include:

• Length of time business has been operating.

   

• Failure to respond to 6 complaints filed against business.

   

• BBB Accreditation was revoked because the business failed to honor its accreditation agreement with BBB.

   

BBB processed a total of 9 complaints about this company in the last 36 months, our standard reporting period. Of the total of 9 complaints closed in 36 months, 6 were closed in the last year.

Options University is nothing but a slick sales and marketing company.  Nobody within the organization is a real or full-time trader, and I would bet the upper management has never even placed an actual trade. 

I was reading this rebuttal, and decided to double-check their link to the Better Business Bureau of South Florida.

When I went to that site, Options U. was listed as having a rating of "N/R" which it earns for one of the following reasons:

  * The BBB has determined that they are no longer in business
  * The business has filed to dissolve their concern in bankruptcy
  * The BBB has received numerous or serious complaints, but not yet had time to verify
  * The type of business is not appropriate for a BBB rating
  * BBB thresholds for report development have not been met

Not sure which applies, but when I noticed that they had 6 complaints, half of which were unanswered, and the fact that their "TrustLink" rating has a value of 1 out of 5 stars, it made me quite suspicious. When I checked on ForexPeaceArmy, I found that quite a number of folks have been burned by OU.
