I absolutely agree with other reports on this site with regards to OrangeTheory's unethical billing practices. My boyfriend and I have also experienced issues with this company as of late. We absolutely understand a 30 days notice, even if the associates upon sign-up boasted and even addressed our very specific questions about if fwe wanted to cancel for our membership and what that would entail and none of them mentioned 30 days notice. We were willing to overlook the employees being dishonest about that since we've done gym memberships before that requiree a 30 days notice.

That said, to be told that the 30 days notice isn't even technically "valid" unless it's within a certain window of time within their billing cycle, and that evevn if you put in your 30 days notice, depending on the date of the submission you could be chargeed 2 months of membership fees ($169 for 2 months if you did a "premier" membereship) is a scam. When we spoke to the representative about cancelling our membership in September, we were told the 30 days notice would suffice and that we would no longer be billed after October. We were told the lasts day we could attend classes was up until October. We found out today (literally the weekend of my birthday so happy birthday to me!) that the associate had lied and our membership is now extending to November because we didn't submit a request within a specicfic "window" of time in their billing cycle (which again was never communicated by the asssociate, espsecially since they LIED saying that we were good to go on this and would no longer be charged). In looking at other people who have unfortunately been scammed by this company, it seems this billing window is arbitrary. There are people that have put in 30 days notice even prior to supposed billing cycle day, who are told the same lies about being charged again beyond their 30 days notice. To have their employees continuously lie about how this policy will be handled is unethical and this whole billing window excuse is a scam given that multiple people have experienced the same "policy" and conveniently all of our date billing windows are differeent and conveniently our cancellation somehow falls outside this arbitrary date window.
